I first read “Breaking the Sorapot” and began to panic! Haha, I need to read things more carefully.

Oh my, I’d be quite upset if Sorapot broke.

Just googled it, and the Sorapot is gorgeous! I wish you many happy magic tea moments with your newly opened teapot!

Actually, I did a little test of my own yesterday because I was curious. I know that my glass infuser mug holds two cups and just a hair over, because I made sure when I bought it, using my measuring cup. I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t overfill it if I used the sorapot, so I poured it into the sorapot chamber and found that I need to leave about 3/4ths of an inch of space at the top when the whole thing is horizontal, if not a full inch (hard to say, cylindrical and all), to make a full 16oz cup consisting of two liquid ‘cups’ of tea. Hope that helps!

The Sorapot is so beautiful – your friends will change their minds once you serve them tea from it :)

Ricky

Isn’t it Lauren? Steepster offers it on their Steepster Select every once in a blue moon.

Yeah, right after I made the post I did a test of my own sophistre. I filled up my Nalgene which holds 24oz and I was able to empty all of it into it, but I spilled some. So moral of the story, fill it up half way to get the 11oz. Now, I’m glad it fills up to about 20z =]. I usually make about 16oz so 3/4 ways would be good.

Does it taste better if it comes from the Sorapot Jacqueline? Oh I do wonder =] It’s like drinking from expensive chinaware, or teaware in this case =]
