New Tasting Notes
Before I say anything, I need to say that the blueberry flavor in this is STRONG. So strong that my ingenuiTea smelled like blueberries for a week. Aside from that, this is a good tea. Not my favorite blueberry tea, but it’s still very good. I’d definitely recommend it.
I guess it’s kinda odd to review a tea I made, but I’m going to anyway. :) It’s a blend of three green teas and tastes very fresh and clean with a hint of Froot Loops. To get a perfect cup, I brew two teaspoons per cup at 180 degrees. This tea was featured and reviewed on Adagio TeaV on March 23rd, ’09.
Every once in a while, I buy a box of Sleepytime purely because of some insomnia induced impulse. Then I’ll brew a cup that evening only to remember that spearmint is my least favorite of the mints. So Sleepytime ends up being one of my tea cabinet staples, purely because it’ll take me years to finish off a box and I just can’t bring myself to toss out tea. I brewed a really weak cup tonight, mostly for the warmth.
This is my all-time favorite tea. I started drinking this back in middle school after watching Captain Jean-Luc Picard order it aboard the Enterprise on Star Trek: The Next Generation. I generally fix this using my Sunbeam Tea Drop tea maker, which brews up to 28oz of tea.
