78 Tasting Notes
I’ve gotta be honest, this reminded me of a Chinese Wuyi oolong. A smooth nutty taste with a mild kick. I would drink this again for sure, but it is not at all what I expected from a Darjeeling.
Flavors: Nutty
Preparation
Tasted pretty bland to me. Flavor was more nutty than I’m used to from Darjeeling. Sweetness in the aftertaste. Underwhelming, but it didn’t taste bad. Try it if you like light Darjeelings.
Flavors: Nectar, Nuts
Preparation
Mmm, a smoky woody assam. Reminds me of a smoother version of a Chinese Lichee peel flavored tea I have. Nothing amazingly superior, but a unique flavor. Relaxing to drink slowly.
Flavors: Smoke, Smooth, Wood
Preparation
This is a pretty weak assam. Smooth, but not very much kick to it. A person who is better at enjoying subtleties might do better with it, but I don’t much care for it. The flavor that is there is pleasant though. Maybe good for some R&R.
Preparation
I revisited this tea, and man, I’m getting better at this. I brewed it shorter and with more leaf. So smooth! I shared my 1st steep, so I can only speculate that it went as well. My second steep was for about 3 minutes, with the leaf amount at about 2 tsps? (I eye the amount of tea nowadays, depending on what I want) No overbearing maltiness, just smooth subtle nuttiness.
