The prices of the teas here are reasonable, however I find that the smelly spa crap really makes it difficult to smell the selection of teas and choose something enjoyable. That being said I still have enjoyed the teas I have chosen, but the overy parfumy atmosphere really does keep me away.

Even though I really like many of the teas offered, I find Silk Road to be REALLY expensive compared to other tea vendors or similar quality unless you buy larger amounts of the tea at a time. That being said, I think their tea is good quality and the store is always clean and organized. I also appreciate how helpful and approachable the staff is without being pushy to make a sale.

I always make a point to stop in to Silk Road when I’m in Victoria. I enjoy the ambiance of the store, and the spa items are always interesting to browse through. I have purchased some very nice blends from them over the years, and I’ve also attended a couple of their tea workshops, which were fun and informative.

This is my favourite place for everything tea. The tea is fresh, organic, locally blended and tastes unbelieveably wonderful.

The staff are knowledgeable and very welcoming. And, their enthusiasm for tea is always evident. They have free tea workshops/tastings where you can learn how to make tea sangrias, lemonades, slushies etc…

Silk Road just makes me happy :)

Teas are top notch though prices can be high. Wish prices were by weight with optional bags but I understand the tin/refill model. Most teas are fairly true and avoid the chemical odors I find in products from other companies. Location is nice and most staff are knowledgeable especially the veteran employees. The tasting events are fun and have some inspirational ideas. Exceptional chocolate products.

Pros – Quality products, good packaging, trained staff and excellent selection

Cons – Can be costly, lots of spa stuff which I mostly bypass.

I like that Silk Road is local, and I’m supporting my local community, but I admit that I still prefer DAVIDsTEA to all the tea places I have near me. Of the few teas from them I have had, they have been of good quality and average pricing, and I like the decor and feel of the store. I’m such a DAVIDsTEA groupie that I hardly ever get past them on Government to get to Silk Road, but I should pop in sometime and try something new.

Love their teas (and their spa)! I’ve tried a lot of different teas and find Silk Road teas to have the best quality out there.
