19 Tasting Notes
I have been steeping all day…yah gotta luv when what the seller says is taken as ’gospel’and purchased. I listened to her and WoW! This tea is great! Poured my first cup early this afternoon and I have been pouring three more times with wonderful demonstrations of layers of sweetness and joy – contentment. Yeh, that’s it!
Long in the mouth with a subtle bouquet reminiscent of a spring garden after a light early morning shower. Suprisingly this white T is slightly astingent with body that is dressed in silk weaving a home for eternity in my heart.
Preparation
Somewhat milder than a Russian Caravan with a burst of pine flavour at first tasting…leaving me with a subtle smoky sweetness.
Have u ever purchased a tea with a thought that oh, I can’t wait to get home and boil some fresh water! Place the scoop of tea into your strainer, pot or cup and allow the leaves to unfold their flavour…pour ever so gently eyeing the hue of many golden colours filling ur cup. Then, I know I do this – I hesitate for a brief moment to absorb the moment then I cannot hold back any longer…there is goes…swish, swirl, swallow. Hey, it tastes like tea! I am brought dwn to earth and realize that although I want to think that I am consuming the nector of the god’s – I am being offered the next best thing…tea.
I asked my tea seller to surprise me today. She showed me some beautiful teas with wonderfu aroma and body. Then, I was informed to open the jar and take in the smell of the earth. Yes, no doubt, the sublime odour of decomposing, rich sweet soil filled my senses and I wished it was spring again…alas, it is only the beginning of winter…I digress, I love it! And the flavour took a bit of getting used to but I am hook’d.
Preparation
When I was deciding today to try something new I opened the jar thinking that I will not enjoy the experience but I was wrong…as well, my first cup w/o milk or sugar I really enjoyed. No bitter aftertaste, with a smooth, pleasant earthy experience dancing on my tongue.
