1629 Tasting Notes
This smells so delicious! A light sweet strawberry flavor and scent. It wasn’t tart at all, and the display was beautiful. The only thing is that it fell apart a little in the water. I put water in first then the tea.
This was the party favor I chose for my best friend’s bridal shower. It was too bad my shipment online didn’t arrive yet, even though I ordered it from China in October… This one is too expensive… cheaper to get it direct from China. Oh well! I can’t wait til that shipment comes in anyway… plus I’m getting another order free since that one didn’t come in.
Preparation
I was guessing the weight of each small Kusmi tin I have, and chose the one which weighed the most IMO.
Green Zoubrovka it is! I got so excited smelling it after I steeped it. Kusmi Kusmi Kusmi!!! It is insanely smooth and not bitter at all. (again too excited or just too much caffeine in me). I was tasting slightly buttery, sweet, green, and minty/nutty notes (classic Kusmi I presume). Ok off to enjoy another mug!
Preparation
I had 2 steeps of this. It smelled so good I couldn’t stop smelling the package even after I’ve emptied the leaves into my gaiwan. It reminds me some cute tea shops that I used to frequent when I lived in NY. I love the dark green leaves all rolled up into a ball. There are some stems in there. The scent is a little musty, sweet, floral, and green.
I had 3 steeps. The steep is a nice yellow color. It tastes and smells buttery and green. There is a hint of floral and sweetness to it but it is very slight. Something lingers in the back of my tongue and its a bit fishy. Sometimes I get that similar taste with some senchas I’ve had. I imagine this would be good with seafood.
I didn’t rate this very well because it was also a bit bitter and the fishy thing.
-EDIT—
So I did one more steep and it was so smooth! The fish thing I’ve been experiencing has diminished. I’m bumping the rating up a bit.
