1629 Tasting Notes
Yum! The scent is strong in this blend! It smells like strawberry cream. The oolong leaves are beautiful and green and are curled up. Along with the leaves are small pink flowers? or balls. It adds to the beauty and might somehow contribute to the flavor. The steep was a nice bright yellow. The taste – WOW. I can’t describe it. It is sort of like strawberry but with a mix of floral tones and sweetness. It is delicious. I want to make a huge jug of this and chug it down. It is so good. I love this tea! I love the lychee oolong as well. WOW!
It withstood several steeps. After each steep, the strawberry flavor faded a little and the floral tones began to stand out. Still, the leaves had such an intense strawberry scent. I steeped it about 5 times and shared it with my boyfriend. We are both fans of this and the lychee oolong! I am impressed yet again! woo!
I posted some photos on flickr. Old photos are there as well: http://www.flickr.com/photos/clanez/5340164745/
Preparation
Lychee!! I love lychee! The aroma of this tea is intoxicating. As the dark green leaves unfurled, the scent hit me in the face once again! I knew it was love. The liquor is a nice bright yellow color. The wet leaves are pretty and medium large sized. A little goes a long way. Upon tasting it, I tasted the lychee Ive been missing this whole time. It is very sweet and juicy and has a nice green, earthy and floral tone as I sip more and more. I steeped this about 4 times, and the lychee flavor became lighter and the florals became stronger.. :)
Very excellent blend! I am very pleased and impressed.
Preparation
I’m addicted to steepster. Everytime I drink tea, I can’t stop thinking about going to steepster and logging my tea. Sometimes, I admit, I’m too lazy to write a review.
So this blueberry rooibos is a staple in my tea cabinet. I think I will always be ordering this for a long time. It is naturally sweet and not tart at all. It is laid-back and forgiving. I can forget the leaves in hot water for a long time and it won’t go bad on me. On the other hand, I can steep for 1-2 minutes and still has a lot of flavor. YUM! It tastes great cold and hot.
ahh… this reminds me staying at my bibi’s house in Tanzania with my 2 close friends from school. We drank this every night before going to bed. Mornings, of course, were times when we drank the TZ’s (finest) black teas, or Bibi would make us ginger black tea, overloaded with sugar of course. Yes I’m all over the place.
