1629 Tasting Notes
Shinobicha sent me a couple bags of this tea to try out. Thank you!
I love the cute pyramidal shape of the bags. Before steeping, it smells like creamy vanilla or sweet powdered milk.
After steeping, it smelled like a light creamy vanilla. My oh my is this tasty! Great blend. Creamy and tastes great with a little bit of brown sugar. I pretty much guzzled the whole tea down.
Preparation
Cardboard. Or maybe I’m tasting the boxes I’m using to pack up. Either way I expected a floral tone even if it is a light floral. Nothing. White teas (on my tongue) are usually so good. Why did this fail? I wish it hadn’t.
Off to try another tea!
Preparation
I have a hard time writing about this tea. The leaves are a nice mix of black and golden brown. I can’t describe the scent. The liquor was a light brown. I didn’t use any sugar, and upon tasting it, theres something in the back of my throat. Perhaps some astringency. I’ll try this again with sugar. Its on the “lighter” side of black teas.
