18 Tasting Notes
I bought this tea while in Paris (my favorite tea shop is Dammann Freres) because the smell was so wonderful. If you love clove and cardamom, this chai is for you! Whole cardamom pods are in the mix!
Preparation
I discovered this tea after falling in love with this company’s White Tea with Apricot and Elderflower. I still rate that one higher than this, but I’ve discovered that elderflower is a nice, mellow flavor. Being a Yank, I had never tasted it until getting this British tea.
Preparation
Full disclosure: I don’t like the taste of rooibos. And even though this tea contains no rooibos, to me it tasted as though rooibos was the base. Therefore, I did not care for it at all. I’m not saying it’s a bad tea, just giving a warning to the other rooibos-haters out there.
Preparation
While at the Dammann Freres store in Paris picking up my favorite of theirs (the 4 Fruits Rouges), I bought some of this to try, and it’s another winner! The berry tastes are fairly subtle, but you get actual berries along with the leaves. Since I got mine in bulk, it came with no ingredient list, so I didn’t know the base was sencha. It’s not at all vegetal and I thought it was more of an oolong-y taste.
