30 Tasting Notes
I accidentally steeped this tea for 10 minutes – oops! Still very tasty. Very strong toasted flavour with a lingering floral taste. I’m not really getting an apple taste like others have mentioned – perhaps on the second steep.
Steep two: Much better this time. There is a hint of nuttiness with a fruity-floral taste and the toasted flavour I was getting from the first steep is more of an after-taste now. Yum!
Preparation
I don’t think I like this tea very much. It tastes to me like chewing on a piece of leather with a burnt kind of taste on top. Kind of like wood smoke. The steeped tea smells like ashes to me. Just not for me, though I’m sure for those who enjoy pu-erh teas they would like this.
Preparation
This is my first plain oolong, and it is quite lovely. First off – the colour is beautiful, a deep golden honey brown. It tastes a bit like maple syrup with some woody and nutty notes. A little bit floral as well. Tasty! Hopefully the second steep will be as good.
