6 Tasting Notes
Not quite a Peppermint Patty, but a good cup of tea. I don’t usually like mint teas but it’s not super strong in this one. The first two times I made it, I used water that was too hot but I kept trying. And then I added some of the new sugar/chocolate/coffee sprinkle from Trader Joe’s to the cup before pouring in the tea. Now it’s a very nice cup of tea.
I want to try this when I have a headache because mint is supposedly one of the herbs that will help with headaches.
I wanted to get some pu-erh for my mom because she’s been having stomach issues but I was afraid the smell would turn her off so I got Caramel Harmony. She doesn’t think the smell is bad and likes the tea. Now if I could just get her to brew it instead of coffee….
For my part, I love the scent of pu-erh. It reminds me of the Children’s Zoo at Brookfield Zoo and all my good memories of it. How can that be bad? I like the tea but I haven’t found the sweet spot in the amount/temp/time equation yet.
I crave this stuff. Nice nutty flavor and the only tea I have that I would drink with anything. It’s great iced. If I didn’t want this stuff so often I wouldn’t have tried bringing it cold to work but I’m glad I did. Most of my teas are sweet and not something I’d want with a meal.
Preparation
At first, I though this tea was just fine. It didn’t amaze me with it’s flavor. When I tried it with agave it became much better. It wasn’t until I used honey that I fell in love. There was the sweetness and flavor I expected. It didn’t take much—just a bit to bring out the flavor of the tea.
