4 Tasting Notes
I adore this tea. I love to drink oolong tea in the evenings after a long day at work, and I love this oolong as much as I love Wuyi oolong. It has a great full mouth-feel and a nice earthy, sweet, and slightly floral taste. After the first tasting, I ordered more and stocked up since it’s a limited edition.
Preparation
I have one thing to say about this tea: Wow. I have the vegan version and as soon as I opened the package my mouth started watering from the sweet marshmallow scent. After steeping it, I must say it is super delicious. It’s naturally sweet and really smooth. I love it! 52teas should add this to the permanent collection.
Preparation
The first time I tried this, I must have done something wrong… The was overloaded by the combination of flavors and it just made me ill. I had tried it hot and really could not bring myself to do so again.
On my second try, I made iced tea. I brewed the leaves at double-strength and then poured the tea over ice. This was much better. I got a lot nice sweet balance between the coconut and pineapple flavors and the green tea. So, this isn’t my favorite tea, but it’s fairly refreshing iced.
Preparation
Let me first state that it had been a while since I’d last had masala chai. Eventually, I’d like to start making my own chai blend, and when I do, I want it to taste just like this.
The problem with other masala chai blends that I have had is that they lose some of their power and flavor when combined with milk. I love that with this blend I could add a little milk and honey and still have my spice too.
I ordered more pouches! I’m in love with this tea. Cheers, Frank!
