183 Tasting Notes
This tea has a really nice smell to it. I like fennel and spices, so had high hopes for this one. Unfortunately the chili peppers were a bit too much for me. They BURNED going down. I ended up removing most of the peppers from the dry mix so I can finish the rest of the tea.
It would be a good tea if you really like chili pepper.
Preparation
I won’t rate this one, as I’m not a fan of black tea. I do, however, love all chai spices, so I thought I’d give it a try.
With the addition of lots of sugar and almond milk it was palatable, but reinforced my lack of desire to drink black tea.
Preparation
It’s a funny thing. I can’t stand black licorice, but I love licorice and anise teas. Add mint, and I’m sold. This was a winner for me, and I’ll enjoy it throughout the winter months. The additional spices help to give it a unique taste, and the smell is great.
I don’t worry about over-steeping this, as it tastes good to me no matter how long it’s steeped for.
Only for licorice tea lovers.
Preparation
I really like this one. I’m a huge fan of all of the spices in it, so it was an easy decision to buy this one. I enjoyed it with a touch of agave, but didn’t like it at all when I added some almond milk.
One of the better rooibos teas I’ve tried.
Preparation
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this one. I don’t mind green tea, but I’m not a huge fan, either. Toasted Walnut has a great smell to it, and a nice, delicate taste. I’m not sure how walnutty it really was, but that’s ok, as it tasted good anyway.
The second infusion was even lighter tasting, but still good. I have enough for a few more cups before I have to decide if I’ll replenish.
Preparation
This was the first loose leaf tea I ever purchased (I’m pretty new to the loose leaf world). I LOVED it. I steeped it for a long time, and the creamy, coconutty taste was great. The mint helps give it a fresh taste. I liked it hot, but actually preferred it cool.
I drink this straight up, as I think sweetener would make it sickly sweet.
Preparation
I think I’m in the minority here, as I found this to be a very weak, kind of boring tea. I still have about 20g left, so I’ll definitely be trying this one again, but I’m not holding out much hope. What is everyone else tasting? Are my taste buds broken?
