drank Ginkgo IQ by Yogi Tea

Trying a sample shared by a co-worker. Normally, I am suspicious of anything with licorice root—-so sweet it makes my tongue feel fuzzy. However, this has a couple kinds of mint and some lemongrass in it to counteract the sticky taste. Three sips have not yet turned me into a mental giant; however, should that happen, you will be the first folks I notify.

Please do. I’ll be rushing off to the grocery store if it does.

Temp in the teens, zero wind chill, sky like iron, spitting snow … just need a little joy inside and out.

…at least I THINK that’s what I’m drinking. My work tea storage leaves a lot to be desired, and these unidentified bags were squooshed down in the bottom of the tin in a zip-lock baggie. Hey, it’s warm, and a little sweet—-any port in a storm; literally. Raining kittens and cold and damp and just above freezing.

Brewed a big batch in my Brown Betty teapot this morning; took longer to drink than the tea candle in my warmer stand, but still reheated nicely in the microwave without getting too strong or bitter. Good for a cloudy grungy day.

Taking medicinally for phlegm-digestion.

Saying you’re congested or have an upset stomach would have sufficed…

yum yum! feel better!

Hee, the word phlegm always makes me think of Calvin & Hobbes. And even though it means something gross, there’s something that I like about that sly silent g.

Sorry…that was just the only accurate way to describe the symptoms :o)

Has a beautiful orangey-gold color that looks really, really nice in Grandma’s rosebud teacups. Makes me feel quite elegant. It hasn’t lost its tang in the decaf process and steeps well more than once.

Very, VERY different—you definitely get the grain taste. Picked up some experimentally a couple summers ago and discovered I liked it iced better than hot. Supposed to have lots of health benefits, though I can’t remember any at the moment.
