Absolutely divine. I oversteeped a bit and blended the cup with a tray of ice (in dalek and tardis shapes too!)—it turned frothy and creamy and amazing. This is definitely a much better coconut/banana cream pie than the actual offering from Butiki (but I’m not a big rooibos person) :) Definitely my favorite Butiki tea so far!
A lovely tea expertly blended with beautiful ingredients. Tastes way better than my plain nettle tea, has a bit of a glutinous rice flavor to me. However I brewed for 15+ minutes and it was still quite subtle. Probably doesn’t stand up to many multiple brews. The rose really comes out especially when cooled.
This is not bad. The bag smell is overwhelming and a bit artificial, but brewed it’s more tame. I don’t get very many savory notes (cumin? whaat) other than the nuts, but my tolerance for savoriness is pretty high (love it). I get butter and creaminess for sure, and it mostly tastes like a more complicated cookie to me. Great for making butter tea with too. Big indulgence :)
I don’t know what kind of crack flavoring is in this. It smells very strong but when brewed tastes very strawberry shortcakey to me. I almost exclusively use this to make butter tea (tea blended with coconut oil or butter, some sweetener and salt) making it taste more biscuity and delicious. Also I’ve had this tea forever—many years in fact, and I don’t think the flavor has decreased (which kind of scares me).
