Their Yixing pots all sold out. Are they so good?

boychik: Not sure. She does 75% of her business in person so people may have bought them in the shop. Or maybe she stocked them a long time ago and never sourced more.

Funny, it says new Yixing for August and they are all sold out. That’s why I thought maybe they are very good quality. Not cheap

the software they use for their store is weird in that way… the Yixings were all added to the online store in 2011. It seems to just shuffle the stuff on the site every month.

Their store is based on Zencart (I’m a web developer) and that’s a quirk of the “monthly” featured unfortunately.

what’s the best software for an online store in your opinion? Shopify?

I only work with open source platforms. In that regard it really depends on your needs. How many products, necessary features, ease of use, web hosting, etc. In general I like OpenCart. Magento is not horrible if your server can handle it. Avoid Zencart if you can.

This is dangerous. I loved their samples. On the other hand, 50% off is as good as Black Friday, so I think I’ll need to place an order. Black Friday in August. Why not?

Aaaand I’m screwed. Does anyone have any experience with their gongfu style teapot? I’ve been looking into buying one, and that sale is painfully good, but I’m not sure what I should be looking for in gongfu. Is 170ml a decent size?

Also, their easy cup tea maker sounds really tempting… agh.

boychik, the $20 included $5 for shipping. I’m not complaining though, since it was $30 worth of tea!

So I just had a weird issue on the website when I placed an order using paypal. It said something about the order being approved, but there was an error, and that I should contact the merchant. I also received an email from Green Terrace saying that my order was confirmed, so I’m extra confused. The only method of contact I can see is the info@ email they have provided. Am I overlooking a phone number?

Edited to add: It looks like the correct amount was deducted on my paypal page, so I guess I’ll wait and see how it all unfolds.

I received the same issue! I replied to the order confirmation from GTT.

If the store sent an email, they got the order. It wouldn’t send us a store confirmation (not PayPal) email otherwise so I am not worried. :)

I had the same error message when using a credit card, but when I went to my email to follow up, I already had a message confirming my order. I figure that means it’s all OK.

Just noticed that they use PayPal to process normal credit cards, so this isn’t a surprise.

Also got a shipping notice. Looks like I missed the boat on the Gongfu style teapot, though. Kind of bummed, but wow, did they refund me the money fast. Plus they took the time to email me to let me know the circumstances, and say they were including more free samples. Pretty impressed with my experience overall thus far. Can’t wait to get my package.

Got an email from Green Terrace saying credit card order didn’t go through; please try again. Got same PayPal error the second time too. Sigh.

Well, I sent an email. We’ll see what they have to say. Frustrating.

The email they sent me promised some samples to compensate for the hassle. At least they are trying to have good customer service, despite what I assume are computer errors.

I haven’t heard back, but that’s understandable with the time difference. I expect to hear overnight….

I got an email from GTT that they cancelled my order. I just placed it again, and it went through this time. Hopefully, it’s all good.

Good luck. My fourth attempt just blew up. They’re working on it with the computer guys.

Of course each time it was just “one more time”. The good news is that the order seems to have finally been accepted (5th time the charm?). I’m a tech guy so have patience with computer screwups; this is a new company and they’re working the bugs out. I know the tea is good; I was part of the free samples group a month ago. Before I placed my order I sipped down the last of my sample.

It was frustrating, but my emails with their customer service were very nice. They answered questions and took care of things. I’m happy. I’ll be happier once I have the tea.

I think they might be all squared away now.. I placed my order about 11:30pm PST, and got notified it shipped at 2:30am PST. I’m sad that ALL their teawear was OOS though.

My tea has shipped!!!! Now I just have to wait for the post office. No worry: I’m not going to run out of tea in the next week or two (or fifty for that matter).

I got my order this afternoon! They added several samples (as promised) to make up for the web site aggravation. Between my order and the samples, I now have at least a sample of everything they sell.
