Traveling Tea Box: Group A - round 2 discussion
I’m in as well, sent you an email right before I saw you followed me back ;) very excited!
I’d love to take part. I’m in Israel (which luckily does not create customs problems with tea). I followed you.
I’m in too.
I think Libre Tea mentioned some of the issues that we had. One other thing I noticed was that the box ‘grew’ over time, which was great…until it got time to ship it – I think I racked up a $25 bill at the post office when I sent it on. :/
I definitely want to limit its weight so it isn’t too much for people to send, especially if they have to do so internationally. I might try to have it move about internationally before it spends a lot of time in the US based on that, so it doesn’t get its weight up before then. That way if it gets bigger anyway, it can be switched to a flat rate box.
Maybe an “only put in as much as you take out” rule would help? I’m sure we could all get carried away putting all our favorites in there to share, but if we have a “roughly” 1-for-1 weight rule it could ease the bulk a bit.
Maybe. I kind of want it to be open to adding like tea cookies or a measuring spoon or something after taking out tea, but yeah if everyone starts adding a bit more it snowballs quickly. So it might be best to just leave it to tea and equal amounts only.
And I should add in that case it definitely won’t be anywhere near 2 pounds, I don’t think I can possibly make it weigh that much!
I’d love to join! Though three days to mail the box might be tough for me. I can’t get to the PO often, but I’ll try my best! :D
