I wasn’t expecting to like this tea. Given that my friends are crazy about it and that it’s a rooibos, I thought that I would take one sip and say “no thanks”. But my room mate is slowly but surely going through the teas in her calendar, and this is one that we both wanted to try.
The first cup I had was “meh”. I think this was largely due to making a pot and simply not having enough tea. I purchased the chai sampler as a little present to myself last week and this tea came with it. It’s my favourite of the bunch! It’s my late-night paper-writing chai. I’m usually not a fan of strange things in tea (ie. coconut), but the spices together with the coconut create a really smooth blend. Not to mention, the rooibos is barely present in flavour – something I appreciate given that I’m not a huge rooibos fan.
Will purchase a tin when my sample is done. Awesome.
