The smell of this is unique…it’s sort of hard to explain but I would try by saying the rose comes thru more than the other ingredients but you can tell there are other ingredients within this mix…something slightly fruity but not very identifiable based on aroma alone…I think that is because the coconut fragrance interrupts the fruit and the rose overpower both the coconut and the strawberry. But the aroma is lovely, regardless!
The taste is really wonderful!
The white tea flavor hits you and the strawberry is the prominent flavor on the tongue but it’s still somewhat mellow and isn’t tart at all! The rose comes thru a little too and the coconut takes the back seat but seems to step up to the plate a little more as it cools.
What a beautiful, gently flavored, tasty White Tea!!!! I really like this!
Both HOT and COLD!!!
This is very nice!
Pretty! Floral! Fruity! YUM!
The amount of Jasmine and the amount of blueberry TOGETHER is AWESOME! Just enough of each! AND you can still taste the green tea!
There have been 2 other Blueberry/Jasmine Green Teas I have liked in the past but those 2 companies are out of business now…so I am very happy to have found one to fill the void!
This smells wonderful! Various plump berries and black tea! The black tea is pretty strong in flavor and I like that! The flavor of the berries is lovely too! It’s slightly tart but more importantly juicy! AND…ya know what!? The Hibiscus is subtle and more than tolerable! This surprisingly has a velvety yet floral finish. YUM.
Oh! I like this subtle scent prior to infusing! It’s mostly a woodsy-type oolong aroma but underneath you can smell a small hint of what smells like grape and blossoms. After infusing it smells more like a woodsy oolong – gently toasted or roasted. The taste is woodsy and floral but smooth. It almost wants to turn sweeter just before the end of the sip!
Another goodie!
This is quite aromatic! Very colorful dry mix! Post infusion – the coconut gives it a slight oily texture on the top but the actual color of the tisane is a vibrant toned down brown-orange…very nice! It has a nice strong Rooibos flavor but the blueberry and pom join hands in harmony and the coconut flavor does give it a semi tropical yet milky-smooth flavor too! This is pretty good! A good flavored Rooibos!
This is really yummy! The flavor is roasty, with a gentle warmth from the spices. The ginger and cinnamon are not “hot” or peppery. They are more like the spice you might experience when eating pumpkin pie. The pumpkin is not an overwhelming flavor here, and it could actually be a little stronger, but, I am enjoying the balance of flavors the way it is too.
As I make my way down the cup, the flavor of the pumpkin does develop. A very nice cuppa!
Preparation
Lemon, Cream, Berries, and black tea! I LOVE this! Yet another SIPDOWN! As much as it needs to be done…a major SIPDOWN…that is…it’s pretty depressing – saying goodbye to so many friends…I mean TEAs that I LOVE. See previous notes. If you ever get to sip on some tea from White August Tea Company makes sure this is one of them!
No prob at all :) A Sipdown is when you finish off your stash of a tea. For example…if I bought 2 ounces of a loose leaf tea and sipped it over and over again until I got it down to my last cuppa and had no loose leaf left – that’s a SIPDOWN :) Hope that helps! I have been trying to SIPDOWN or de-cupboard several a day…need to make some room! LOL
About a year ago, we had The Final Sipdown to focus on destashing samples (and other drops and drabs). I lasted less than a month but got over 40 teas destashed. Gosh, I can’t believe it has been almost a year! Ah, memories! :)
Hahaha! OMG, I don’t know if I could do it! I think i’ve only got about 3 sample-sized things right now. I’d have to bathe in some teas to start knocking them out! Or making the hubby really big cups! :)
HELL…I should send you a box…I still owe Ashley a box tho! :) Lord knows I have enough…want me to start a Mystery Box for ya?
You know I’m always up for trying teas! I’m not sure if I have anything new/different since our last swap but I’m up for returning the favor, too. If you want to add more to you 600+ teas! (Did I say OMG yet? Cause OMG.)
Another outstanding offering from White August Tea Company! The aroma reminds me of a cross between ice(d) wine and Cabernet!!!! It’s a nicely flavored black tea. The currant leaves and berries are perfectly in tune with my palate! This is juicy and has a nice evenness to the sweet-berry VS the sour-berry…lovely!
This aroma of this one before and while infusing reminds me of coconut cookies! A wonderful smell, indeed! The Green Tea is a powerful one and a tad on the grassier side of things but the coconut brings this to a whole new level! While it’s sweet and tropical and nearly cookie-like it’s a unique taste and glad White August Tea has this one available! In addition, the ginger is noticeable but very nicely done. It meshes well with the coconut and green tea! This is a bold brew and I like it! This is good both hot and cold!
I’m a sucker for teas with sprinkles in them!
This one is wonderfully creamy! Silky-Smooth! Awesomely velvety! Vanilla Cupcakes with Sprinkles is VERY accurate!
This is tremendous!
The folks at White August are VERY NICE!!! I have tons more on tap from them! Along with full length reviews in the near future over at SororiTEA Sisters! Keep an eye out!!!

Today’s first of 3 or more reviews at SororiTEA Sisters!
I’ll admit it…I’m Plum Happy! And this tea makes me happy and would make any Tea Company Proud!!!
This is the first White August Tea I have tried and I’m completely impressed with this one!
Here’s why…
It’s a good flavored black tea and the Plum is the first flavor that grabs your attention…but the cranberry isn’t too far behind…nor are the Raspberries…and HECK…you can even taste the strawberry essence! This is VERY tasty and the flavors all play nice with each other!
This is the perfect amount of fruit! It tastes true and it’s terrific! I LOVE that no hibiscus was used in this! It proves a great fruit flavored tea can be done without it! YAY!
This is almost wine-like…both in aroma and in taste. I sampled the first half of this cup hot and LOVED it and now I am drinking the 2nd half cold and LOVE it just as much. The more I sip the more in love I fall!!! WOW! This is great!
Thank you to Paul M Tracy for sending me a sampling of this tea!
This is really good! The sencha is lightly grassy but not bitter. The coconut brings out some of the smoother qualities of the sencha, I think, and there is a nice balance of spice and sweet.
The aroma that wafts from the cup is delightful. A deep sweetness from the coconut, a fresh quality from the Sencha and the distinct scent of ginger combine to create a very unique scent that is absolutely wonderful.
Thanks again Paul! I can see why this is one of your favorite green teas!
Preparation
I’m in another Russian Lit phase. (I’m currently reading Turgenev.) In keeping with the theme, I wanted to pick up a really good Russian Caravan. Usually I drink Lapsang with my Russian tomes (War and Peace required over 100 grams) but I don’t need to feel like I’m in front of a campfire when it’s 110 degrees outside.
Russian Caravan should be a mix of Oolong, Keemun and Lapsang Souchong. When I first opened this bag, it was so smoke laden that I thought they had mispackaged their Lapsang into this bag. Once brewed, however, it mellowed and the plumy and vegetative qualities took precedence and there was just a faint smoke finish to the tea. There was also a lingering sweet aftertaste.
This is by far the best RC I’ve had. It was balanced, flavorful and had no bitterness. The tannins were virtually nonexistent. If Lapsang is a bit too strong for you and Keemun is too simple, this might be a good compromise.
Preparation
This is one of my all-time favorite green teas. It’s excellent both hot and iced. This blend has a pleasant yin/yang quality to it in the mixing of the hot, spicy ginger with the cooling and somewhat creamy coconut. The fragrance is enticing and reminds me of some of my favorite Thai dishes.
