So, I’m finally getting around to writing about this tea. I find it a very light Earl Grey but I like it a lot better than Stash’s Earl. It is very nice to drink before bed and at any time of the day really. I bet this would taste a lot better if I didn’t have to estimate steeping time but I have been rushing at college recently. Maybe next time I’ll be able to slow down and actually enjoy a cup of tea.
Preparation
BY-JOVE! I think I got it! The trick to The Tea Nation Teas is to NOT over steep! Deeeeer…
Anyhow…this one is somewhat artificial smelling when it comes to the Blueberries but for a bagged tea it’s not bad! The Green tea is more prominent and the blueberry flavor accompanies it! The Green Tea leaves a little bit of a grassy aftertaste but not too intense.
Overall…this is a nice average flavored green in a bag!
CRAZY DAY…don’t have much time to write…but…wanted to log…this smells WONDERFUL out of the package! It does lose much of the aroma once steeped, however. HOT is ok but very mellow…COLD seems to bring out the flavors more. This is fairly good! I prefer this one COLD.
I’m a fan of Earl Grey tea. I didn’t use to be. But after trying Earl Grey from Tazo, I was hooked. I found this brand of Earl Grey, and was pleasantly happy with it. Now, it’s not Tazo, but it is good. It’s a black tea, so I can drink it in the morning, and all day long, for a little pick-me-up. Enjoyable.
Preparation
Bagged Bonanza Morning #2 – Tea 2:
I’m having one last cup before sending the last 2 bags to Azzrian.
I think this is one of their better bagged teas. I can taste both the vanilla and the almond in addition to a mellower black tea base. See other notes.
Before steeping – smells like Vanilla and Almond…more Almond than Vanilla
After steeping – smells like both Vanilla and Almond – about equally.
Color is dark brown
Taste -
This one really surprised me. Just when I think I have The Tea Nation figured out…they throw me a curve! This is a nicely flavored black tea…VERY smooth! The Vanilla and Almond are both present when it comes to taste – I think there maybe a little more vanilla than Almond. Smooth all the way thru the sip on to the aftertaste! Nice Flavored Black for the morning!
Bagged version…
Slightly scented with pom…nom,nom,nom…
It ‘brews’ to a color that is a minty-looking-green that then turns to a more pale olive green color.
It’s a stronger bagged green…with a hint of fruit! Not bad! :)
I made a large pitcher of this the other night and forgot to log. I know I cheated and iced a cup before the brewing was done…it was a little bit on the light side but you can still pick up on the blueberry but still know it’s a black tea too. LOVE the aroma…even iced!
Had a 2nd Cup and it was a little stronger. Stay Tuned for more updates on this one…
