T2

No milk left in the fridge again so for breakfast this morning it’s a mug of girlie grey with a little bit of sugar. Yum.

It’s midsummer but it’s cold as heck and it’s probably going to snow on the mountain tonight. I’m curled up on the couch with a mug of this, some freshly baked banana bread and a distressing movie. What a great way to end the week.

HAY GIRLIE! It sure has been a while!

I know I was dead set on sipping down my stocks, but in doing so I’ve come a little off balance (I need more black teas in my life than what I have left!) and T2 had a ridiculous sale where I picked up 250g of this (and a free tin) for only $20. I’m sorry but I can’t argue with that.

Also, it’s been so long and I forgot how much I enjoyed this.

My perfect afternoon tea choice. The “girlie” name scares the boys off, but this tea is more fruity than it is floral, and I am addicted. You can add sugar and milk if you must, but it’s perfectly fine as is.

Ok so I lied, I’ve still got a handful of easy-ish sipdowns on the horizon, and this was my first one this evening! This week’s gotten so cold that it’s been perfect having this, but I don’t feel like I need to replace it for a while.

My way to drink this bad boy this season is two scoops plus a scoop of milo plus a little bit of sugar. Steep and then a splash of milk on top. Though now I’m all out of cow this week, maybe I will pick up some vanilla soy again…!

The best. The best. It’s the best, Ron. Seriously, serve this hot OR cold with a dash of vanilla soy milk for your world to be ROCKED.

My new favourite way of drinking Red Choc Mint is with some vanilla-flavoured soy milk, hot OR cold! Adds a lovely sweet kick to this delicious dessert tea.

Oh, for any mint fans this tea is a winner! Such a beautiful minty scent; this red tea is just fabulous. Steep for ages and it just gets better. So far I’ve tried it plain and with a dash of milk, but I’m also looking forward to seeing what a drop of maple syrup will do…

I’m on my last day of pseudoephedrine and feeling much better, I have to say! I just hope I’ve managed to keep the virus out of my chest because then everything lasts forever. Just get out of me please, illness!

Getting my cupboard so low has me pretty excited to do a decent order from a new company, I think it’s time I tried Whispering Pines… any other suggestions?

Hahahaha I absolutely have another cold virus. Just put me out of my misery, please. I’ve even had to take a Sunday off work and I NEVER do that because $$$. Crying.

It’s been a long while between cups of this, but I got a free box a few months ago and I’m glad of that because I’ve got a rotten head cold at the moment and a mug of this is making me feel better.

Sipdown #9: getting rid of that last sample teabag I stole from a hotel’s tea stash a year ago.

Drinking this makes me feel ill. But not in a bad way. Just because for so many years this tea was my go-to whenever I had a cold virus! These days I’m more likely to reach for a more complex blend by a local tea company, but T2’s lemongrass & ginger will always hold a special place in my nostalgic heart. Still tasty and soothing with a dollop of honey, refreshing without.

Massive fan of lemongrass & ginger at all times, but TassieTeaGirl has it right in saying it sure helps when you have a cold! I love this tea anywhere any time, it’s lovely as is or sweetened with a spot of honey.
