I love drinking this when I feel like something sweet, minus the calories :) I brew it in a small kettle over the stove on low heat with Bonsoy and 1-2 teaspoons of honey (and a dash of condensed milk if I’m feeling naughty :D) I guess you could call this the “mocha” version of chai tea? I love how it actually uses cacao husks, cacao beans and also oolong tea as its base! A must have sweet, creamy treat :))
I drink this every day. Probably for breakfast, lunch and dinner :)
At first I was a little hesitant about this tea because I’m not really a big fan of green tea (I always used to drink brown rice green tea instead) but then after a few cups this tea really grew on me!!! Now I’m like craving for some everyday :-) It has a mellow yet distinct flavour and aroma but it’s still very gentle and easy to drink! And also great with greasy meals because it really washes away that oily taste very well.
Divine tea … subtle, clean taste and gorgeous jasmine aroma. My only complaint is that I find the recommendation of 2/4 balls per cup way too weak. I’ve just made a cup (quite a large cup, admittedly) with 10 balls and it still tastes too weak!
Preparation
Knocking teas down, one by one. Close to finishing this bad boy off now, too! I can barely believe it!
I’m not as in love with this blend as I used to be. I don’t know what’s happened. I threw in a sprinkle of sugar for a dessert tea tonight and it picked up the sweeter notes but I’ve lost the creaminess…
No milk in the house to let me carry on my milky bedtime tea kick, so tonight I went for the next best thing.
ETA: HAHAHA I just saw my last note for this tea “about a year ago” mentioned my goal of a Whispering Pines order once I got my cupboard under 25 teas left. I’m… still striving for that goal… :"|
Aw yeah, reaching into the back of the hoarder cupboard now! New goal: when I’ve got 25 teas or less, I’m doing my first ever Whispering Pines order. If that won’t stir me on to greatness, nothing will.
(I’ve currently got 35 teas still in my cupboard with no notable purchases in the last year, at least. Sigh! GETTING CLOSE…)
I couldn’t hold out any longer and finally busted open this box after sampling White White Cocoa iced on its own. I had only gone into the T2 store for a couple of storage containers but once I’d tried it I couldn’t leave the store without it. It smells DELICIOUS, and I immediately poured myself a mug of it. Yum. I just want to carry the box around with me so I can smell it all the time. Steeped, it’s just as gorgeous, with a lovely white tea base complemented by cocoa and sweet coconut. Yum. Now to try to make some of this last until summer so I can drink it iced too.
