Container has rainbow, iridescent scales decorating the outside. Advertises that the tea steeps pink. I think it’s more of a pink/brown, maybe cranberry color. Smells lightly floral and sweet. Tastes like apple and hibiscus. I can maybe taste the cornflower (?) but I’m still learning what that flavor is. Tasted 01.2019
Flavors: Apple, Floral, Hibiscus, Sweet
Preparation
Brews into a dark brown, almost like coffee. Has golden sparkles in it – very small, like an amber bead. Tastes strongly of rose. Black tea is not bitter, though steeping longer than 5 minutes would easily push it over that line. The novelty is mainly the sparkles – otherwise it’s a solid rose tea. Tasted 01.2019
Flavors: Rose, Tea
Preparation
Sorry for so many posts these past few days. I’m trying to get through the tea box teas so I can ship it out soon. Anyway, I don’t usually go for chocolate mint teas, but it’s there, so why not?! The main flavor is mint, with the chocolate being pretty subdued. The mint flavor tastes a bit like alcohol, like from mint extract. It manages to be a lot less artificial than the Adagio version of this though. So a bit bitter, but pleasant enough!
This is one from my swap with Mastress Alita. I’ll never pass up an almond tea! Without additions, it tasted pretty plain, but with milk and sugar, it’s quite tasty! I really can see the cookie qualities! The almond is very faint, but the combination of ingredients is like a tasty bready pastry.
I am a really big fan of this tea! It is mild but doesn’t lack in flavor. It has a definite tropical pull but the rose is present and keeps things a bit unexpected. I will absolutely be buying this once my tin from the subscription runs out!
Preparation
I enjoyed this one a lot. It definitely has baked notes and the almond flavor is strong without being overwhelming or too artificial. However, to really get the “cookie” sense, add a little sweetener and milk.
Edit: While trying to sip down more of my stash, this now tastes horrifically artificial. No, thanks. Won’t even be rehoming the rest.
