we started night time sleep training last night. It went well or at least i assume it did because when she woke the second time and she wasn’t at the time that i was willing to feed her, i rolled over and went back to sleep. She didnt wake up at her usual time so i assume she cried for a bit then realised sleep is glorious! Here’s hoping tonight goes as well as i desperately need more sleep. She seems to adapt to change well so i’m hoping.
We have NO plans this weekend besides relaxing and doing house things so i was able to make tea this morning to go with breakfast. Sooooo good. i’ve missed tea in a mug that isn’t cold lol.
Yay, sleep training! I hope it goes smoothly :) I… don’t even really remember what we did. He’s still up once a night to eat, though (usually), and sometimes needs a little help getting to sleep when he’s sick or teething.
it was jokes. she cried a bit the first night and now she’s like “whatever mom” lol
we move in a week AND kiddo has just gotten her first 2 teeth and i think? as a result is not sleeping well AT ALL. as a result this mama is exausted. So i pulled out one of the few teas that isn’t packed yet to try and help me get through this day. Somehow even though we’re trying to move we’re also juggling appointments, meeting with friends and a slew of work related things for my husband. makes for very full days on very little sleep.
Still one of my favourite vanilla teas (though black orchid beats this one out). Just something about the french base + their vanillas that get me every time.
Oof. Teeth already?! We just got #4 a few days ago, and it totally kills the sleep.
Yes! Already! Like what. The. Hell. She also didn’t poop for about 146 hours lol
Eek. He never went longer than about 48 hours until we started solids. Then, we had an 8-day stretch. It now averages every 4 or so days, probably.

happiness is two fancy french vanilla teas back in my cupboard thanks to mom’s trip to paris. I love that she was able to pick this one up along with my other favourite – black orchid. I couldn’t help but make a cup of this today to see if it matched my recollections and it did. So smooth and delicious. Something about the base black teas MF uses just makes me happy.
Sad day. Finished the last of this one up today minus the little bit that is in a blend i’m experimenting with. this is one of my favourite vanilla teas from MF, though maybe not THE most favourite…but i’d be hard pressed to decide between the couple that i love.

I wonder how it compares to DF’s since I’m a fan of their vanilla blends.
i’d have to pull out my DF vanilla, but i think i like this one a little better. But i do love DF’s vanilla teas as well. :)
So, which one is THE favourite vanilla tea then?

Another tea from today. Heads up to those out there who look forward to christmas for fancy french teas in Canada…Holt Renfrew has their inital F&M teas in stock and supposedly Nov 4 they’ll be launching the full shebang of their christmas teas + cookies from MF and F&M and any others they bring in. So far it’s looking a little different than the past 2 years so that might be a good thing. This is one they have not yet ever stocked there, but it’s a good one – not my favourite MF vanilla but not the worst by far!

Bay-Bloor location was were i found things. Since i work there, i’ll try and post Nov when the full line comes out. Atm it’s a lot of different biscuits and the usual F&M teas. There were some new items like an MF fragrance thing based on a tea and some steepers…but mostly it’s the james and bicuits and such right now

Heh this tea is lovely. It’s a typical mf vanilla…subtle and delicious. It’s one of my favourites, but the black orchid? I think it is, is just a tiny bit more intense and delicious for me. It’s one of the other mf’sin my cupboard.
Thank you, Sil. I enjoy vanilla very much in tea, but it can be a tricky flavour.
I am going to make every effort to get down to Holt’s and see what they have on offer. Exciting times! :)
Evol Ving Ness you might already know this but Balzac’s coffee house locations and Pink Tartan in yorkville carry a limited selection of NF Teas year round. Generally it’s Marco Polo, the Chai, one of the breakfast teas, and a few others.
