The perfect lemon tea. I have several Mariage teas in my stash and this is the one I find myself craving most often.
Bold and dark amber in colour, scent is bright and cheery lemon with underlying tones of honey, malt and the slightest hint of peach nectar. Light cooling element at the back of the throat after each sip. Just gorgeous.
Delicious both sweetened and unsweetened. Have only tried it hot but I am sure this would be delicious iced on a warm day. If you can find some, definitely try it. I highly recommend.

Delicious black tea with bright but elegant flavours of strawberry and raspberry.
Had it hot with light cane sugar and it was divine – like drinking a fresh berry compote.
I could see this being delicious iced as well in the summertime. Glad I requested a sample from the Cultured Cup.

Nightcap to a dinner of homemade green curry. I’ve never had straight verbena. Pleasing, mellow aroma. Sip is citrusy and herbaceous followed by a unique, light sweetness. The aftertaste is fantastic and lingering. I couldn’t figure out how to describe it beyond green-sweet-citrus-floral(ish) but then I saw Mariage Frères mentions a taste of candied citron. That’s it. Lovely.

Preparation
I’m really surprised I haven’t written tasting notes for this tea before! My brother went to France several years back and brought some of this back for me. I have several people trained to get me tea when they are pondering souvenirs for me. <3
This tea is really fruity. It’s hard to pick out the individual fruit since they all blend together so well, but if I had to pick a prominent flavor it would be peach. I get flavors of tea in the start of the sip with a little peach, then something a little ashy and alkaline in the middle to end and the finish is all fruit that lingers for a while. It’s enjoyable, but it hasn’t grown on me significantly in the time that I’ve owned it. I think I’d like to try it cold steeped once the weather warms up.
