I like the idea of this blend, but the anise/star anise combo is just way too strong IMO. I can taste a bit of the tulsi and ginger at the beginning of the sip, and perhaps a touch of orange, but mostly it’s just a big ol’ pile of licorice.
So not a favorite for me.

Preparation
Sort of a lightly bright orchard fruit type note with a lovely hint of rosemary. Hard to describe exactly what the fruit was but I’d go kind of mix of apple, peach, and strawberry? Definitely warm and just a little sweet. Felt appropriate for the “sun soaked” imagery.
Right now this tin is up in the front of my mate shelf and for a couple weeks now it’s felt like it’s been staring at me every time I walked by it. Finally, on Saturday, it was sunny and warm enough that I didn’t feel guilty brewing up a cup of this. I mean, logically I know I could have made it any day regardless of the weather but this just felt… right.
It was nice with soft notes of mixed fruits and a rosemary finish. It’s a more thin tasting tea in general, so I wasn’t expecting anything intense and because of that the combination of aromatic rosemary and the soft fruits ended up creating this sort of warm, glowy feeling. The blush pink liquor, I’m sure, only added to that.
Still a bit too thin for my liking, so I want to try to remember to double up on sachets next time I make this. However, the red fruit notes mixed with rosemary are really delicious. It reminded me a lot of a herb infused jam like you might get during high tea for scones, and I really like the vibe a lot. If it was thicker and more intense I think this could be incredible.
Recently picked this one up because even thought the ingredients list is very simple I was intrigued by the inclusion of rosemary. I love a good herby tea! The little tea sachets do seem pretty scantly filled but I suppose I’m also used to brewing in a 16 oz mug and that’s not exactly standard either – maybe it’s a little of column A and column B though…
I did make in a smaller mug because of the low weight per sachet and I think that was smart because it was still a little thin/light to me – but still had flavour! The rosemary was so pleasant though; not too aggressive but very easy to pinpoint while tasting. There’s hibiscus in this among other things and you taste it a bit, but I think more than anything the main flavour other than the rosemary is coming from flavouring. The type isn’t listed, but it gave me a little bit strawberry vibes and a little bit fruit punch so something in that sort of vein would be my guess.
Anyway; it’s was pleasant and approachable but no… I guess “wow factor”.
