In keeping with our traditional nontraditional Thanksgiving habits, my guys and I just had our early T-Day dinner at Big R’s Barbecue: pork tenderloin sandwiches closer to the size of the plate than the buns and huge loaves of Suzie-Q’s that come out steaming hot in the same shape as the fry basket.
Dessert, as a result, needs to be light and pleasant. This is. A nice blend of cinna-mint with cute little sugar snowflakes that don’t affect the flavor a lot, but they do make you smile. Another review says you get mostly mint when you sip; mostly cinnamon when you gulp. Sure enough!
Ok I am glad you are done with your tantrum, Steepster.
I had this last night. It was in my box of rooibos/herbals/what-have-you so I thought it actually only had rooibos but it has jasmine pearls in it. Somehow I didn’t notice that before. Oh well, it didn’t destroy the balance of tea organization haha.
So after a quick change of temperature on the kettle, this was brewing and smelling nice and fruity.
The floral notes of jasmine are really good with the citrusy/berry fruit flavors. I don’t know really want the green rooibos adds because of the short steep time for the jasmine. I guess it’s okay to go for longer but I really would rather not have oversteeped green tea in here in order to get the taste of green rooibos. In which case, the other bit I have means…cold steep!
Preparation
Apologies for the delay in posting. I didn’t get to this on the 10th day but it did help me stay awake on Christmas Eve to finish wrapping presents. This blend seemed immediately familiar and very herbal. I’ve had a few other blends of mint and cinnamon and/or tulsi and they are very comforting. Just as I was settling into the first cup, the tea morphed into something unique that I’ve never tried before, though I don’t think it was just the guaysa. The tea took on a shimmering quality and I’m not just talking how it looked, but rather how in felt. Somehow the glitter had an effect on my taste buds and it was like this mint and cinnamon tea had been turned into candy and then turned back into tea. Hard to describe, but very enjoyable. Thank you KeenTeaThyme and well done on a magical blend, Leaping Lords indeed!
Thanks Keen for an amazing blend – I’m finally getting the chance to try it tonight after a crazy Christmas Eve at work. Oh business mad getting mad that we sold out of all the big gifts. Yesterday. Next time, don’t do your big christmas shopping on christmas eve? Ahem.
That aside – I’m drinking this tonight so I can stay awake for Mike to get home from work around Midnight! Then to sleep just in case Santa pops by.
The blend is very smooth! Surprisingly mellow (in a good way) with all that mint – I think the cinnamon cuts through to create a taste very pleasing to the senses. Thank you!
Need a cup of this to get me moving today. Still have a migraine, but it’s manageable – I’m physically at work. Shocking!
Ugh it’s been one of those weeks. Last week was the flu from hell (along with the six-day migraine). This week? Food poisoning. And migraine, of course. It’s been rough. I’m finally back at work. Folders and projects on my desk seem so foreign. What was that about?! <—me all AM Need a little kick, so I reach for my guayusa. Must try other incarnations of this wonderful tea!
ICK! I used to think I had food poisoning and found out it was an allergy to…nightshade foods. (My migraines give me flu-like symptoms though which also can feel like food poisoning so it was a long puzzle figuring out what I had!). Keep tabs around your migraines if this happens again. (BRAT) Bread, rice, apple and tea is the easiest on the stomach beginning with rice and tea.
It’s going to be an insane morning and since I didn’t sleep at all last night (thanks, Migraine named Evil) I need loads of caffeine. This will be my best buddy today.
No rating as it’s my own blend. Please see other notes; this is a fave. Also goes great with gaming! :)
This is quickly becoming my go-to tea and I am a forever fan of guayusa. Love that it’s energizing without making me all jittery and tweaky. (I think of Tweak from South Park when I say that!) Butiki Teas has a guayusa pack I’ve got to try asap! :)

I’ve got a packed day today so I need an extra boost. This fits the bill! This is available for sale in my tea shop, but I’ve noticed lately that Tea Trade seems to be having trouble loading pages and processing orders. If you want anything, just email me or PM me and we’ll work together. :)
I have this available in cute snowflake ornaments for $5; and gift bags with my other holiday blend Let It Snow (freshly blended, but last year’s recipe), complete with filter bags for $8.
Happy Holidays! :)

I’m hooked on this and am becoming a huge fan of guayusa. I thought the “caffeine-without-the-jitters” was some kind of marketing scam, but it totally works for me. And I’m someone who would have an espresso in the AM with my dad and then go back to sleep. ;)
I have this for sale at my shop, and starting on Friday there will be all kinds of gifts and gift sets if anyone is interested. :) I still have plenty left over, if anyone wants a free sample. Just email or PM me.

Now available! Order now – first four orders gets half off entire order! :) Visit my tea trade shop – I’ve got lots of David’s Tea and other resales up for grabs at rock bottom prices.

I’m hooked on this for my morning fix. The guayusa blends well with the mint medley (peppermint and spearmint) and the cinnamon bark and flavor. It’s a peppy blend. I’ve gotten two coworkers hooked too!
I’m going to use metallic sprinkles again. The gold sprinkles make the tea shimmery, in spirit of the season.
Thanks to Keen Tea Thyme for a sample of her signature blend! It’s a slight variation she called “Wedding Pearls” made with white pearls for her friend’s wedding favors. This is just peachy keen, if you’ll forgive the pun. The peach flavoring is stronger than I’d expected. The first steep doesn’t have much jasmine but the next two steeps had a heady perfume like jasmine flavor, very high quality jasmine pearls.
I love the flexability in brewing time. Forgeting a tea while absorbed in a task is unavoidable. Although, I left one steep out for a few hours in 85 F heat and it fermented! I’ll have to remember that about long steeps with fruit or sugar.
Pink pearls is a great sweet-tooth tea.

I absolutely love the combo of cinnamon and plum so of course I had to attempt to make my own. This is a limited edition blend with very limited supplies. However I’m working on a new blend to replace it.
Limited supply available if you want to try it:

I added the green rooibos carrot tea from RoT to this and came up with a terrific iced tea variety – smooth and fun like sunshine, or sun tea. Delish!
This is my first KeenTeaThyme blend! So no rating as it’s mine. This is terrific hot, but would be awesome iced too. Orange & lemon, perfect flavors for summer.
I will be offering samples at KeenTeaThyme during my 5K hits contest and selling pouches of it on Tea Trade next month. Right now I’m busy packing for a move, but when the Keenans relocate to Frederick I’ll have a tea counter set up so I can really go to town on my blends!

No rating as this is my own. I blended this up with more green rooibos and less jasmine pearls, and I think I like this version better. Let me know if you want a sample! :)
Can you please resend me your addy? I lost it in my move. :( I’ll get a sample out to you asap – and do you want to try anything else? Any other Adagio blends? I don’t have any more Toasted Marshmallow but basically everything else is in stock.
Hmm, I have never had green rooibos but don’t care for red. I love jasmine, though. If you have enough, I would like to try it! Let me know what I can send to you!
I’ve always wanted to try it. =) I can send you some of my wild grown mint. It grows wild all over the place where I work and it has these amazing eucalyptus and sage flavors. After some research I found out it was used as a tea substitute since colonial times! No wonder!
Please send me your addresses at [email protected] and I’ll send you some samples asap. :) Thanks!
Just started my morning off with a cup of this. No rating as it’s my blend. I do love the medley of strawberry, peach, citrus and a hint of jasmine…and the pink pearl sprinkles give it that extra luxe touch. (If I do say so myself. And I do!) :) I also enjoy that you can steep for the length of the cup; no bitterness, just a brighter flavor.
YOU are making me hungry! happy turkey day…. ours is even earlier earlier than yours, lol!
Took pictures of my daughter and 2 grandkids plucking feathers! Fresh turkey isn’t 20 lbs. so we have some chicken brining with the turkey. All fresh! Happy Thanksgiving and you Canadians come on down!
I’d like to move Thanksgiving to October myself!
(Bonnie, wish I had one of your feathers. I’d tie it to a string and let Tazo chase it around. He thinks a scrap of paper on a string is the best toy in the world.)
