I received this generous offering from Kally Tea for helping them out. I was astonished that they sent me so much. It smells good, but the cherry was a little medicinal, like cherry cough medicine, but you got that delicious banana chip smell.
Once brewed the scent stayed, however it doesn’t taste medicinal like it smelt. It tastes like cherries & banana chips. So good! Even my daughter likes this one.
Nice! This tea reminds me very much of the holidays, especially the fragrance which is very cinnamon-y.
The first flavor I noticed was that of the Nilgiri tea, and that brought a smile to my face … although I must admit that I was rather surprised at first, because I was expecting the cinnamon to be the first thing I tasted since it is so well-pronounced in the aroma. The cinnamon is a spicy-sweet cinnamon, but the flavor is much softer than the aroma led me to believe. Sure, the cinnamon is there, abundantly, but, it isn’t overwhelming. The plum comes in about mid-sip, but becomes strongest in the aftertaste where there is a distinct plum-y taste. YUM!
With a name like White Bubbly Berry – how could I NOT try this!? This smells like Champagne and berries and maybe a hint of pomegranate.
The taste is amazingly squeaky-clean. It’s juicy and raspberry but has both subtle white tea as well as subtle champagne notes thru-out the sip, too!
This is superb! Among my faves that include champagne as one of their ingredients.
I remember LOVING the After Dinner Mint Tisanes from both Rabbit Hole and Teaqilibrium. This fits in my LOVE category as well but for different reasons! It’s similar but has it’s own identity, too!
Kally’s After Dinner Mint doesn’t have the intense peppermint like Teaquilibruim’s does. Kally’s is creamier, too! AND Kally’s has more chocolate flavors popping thru!
Kally did a GREAT job, here! I LOVE THIS!
I really LOVE White Teas that feature lemon as the flavoring. This one takes it to the next level, tho! Lemon Peels, Lemon Grass, Lemon Myrtle,Lemon Flavor…that’s Lemon…TIMES 4! Yes…it’s Lemon…but it’s a smooth-not puckery-lemon! With the White tea base and that lil bit of ginger – it calms down that stereotypical lemon-pucker!
I rarely have a white tea this early in the day…I don’t really know why but that seems to be the case. However, I am really glad I drank a cup of this when I did! It totally lifted my spirits! This is a delight!
This aroma is a cross between a sweet flower and peach. It’s lovely.
The taste is delicious! It’s gentle, sweet, flavorful with notes of fruit and flowers but a sweeter flower. Towards the end of the sip hints of sweeter-malty honey seem to kick in, too!
This is VERY nice!
I was a little worried about the hibiscus here after I steeped it. I didn’t steep it long (just five minutes) because of the hibiscus, but, the liquid still looks very hibiscus-y.
And yes, I taste the hibiscus too, but, it works in this blend. The banana is sweet, so is the cherry, and the hibiscus gives the cup a little bit of contrast. It’s not overly tart or sour. I like that I taste the fruit, I even taste hints of strawberry and apple and orange. It’s bit like fruit punch without tasting so sweet. A warm fruit punch.
This would probably be pretty good iced too.
This is pretty good. The hibiscus really seems to compliment this tea nicely.
Definitely has a good watermelon flavor.
Hubby thought it was sweet even without having added any sweetener to it.
I did not find it sweet at all more refreshing and light.
Would be excellent iced.
On the second cup I added sugar in the raw and enjoyed it even more.
I feel the sugar brought out more of the other flavors in the tea without making the watermelon less prominent.
Just got this about a half hour ago in the mail! Woot! Thanks Kally Tea!
This is really wonderful! It’s a medium-strength, sweet-smooth type black tea.
I LOVE saying the name!!! :)
Dry – prior to infusing – this smelled a little like artichokes :)
A delightful mid-morning or mid-afternoon Ceylon!
Oh drat it all! I wanted this at noon but I shan’t! It’s a mid afternoon tea! If I’m late I shan’t have it today! Balderdash! Phooey! I SHALL DO AS I WISH! (My way equals "bliss ")
…a wee bi a foon!
Thanks Liberteas for this one!
This smells INCREDIBLE!!!!! AMAZING Aroma!
Did you know this is Kally Teas #1 Selling Green Tea? I can totally see why! It’s so full of juicy, fruity, yummy goodness paired with a nice green tea base! It’s primarily strawberry but I can taste that little bit of pineapple, too! It’s really wonderful!
If you like flavored greens, if you like strawberry, if you like aromatic teas, if you like nice people behind the tasty tes…TRY THIS TEA AND TRY THIS COMPANY! They are top notch!
They are totally on my list now! Do you have any Kally teas yourself? I would love to give them a try sometime if so! If not I’ll just have to make my own order ;)
I did receive some samples from them…but I don’t have anything in a larger quantity at the moment or I would GLADLY send you some! I really LOVE this company! They are lovely!
Thanks LiberTeas!
Basically replace your stereotypical bold bergamot in an EG with a subtle Apple and Caramel here and that’s what you have! It’s in a class all of it’s own, really. It’s a nice flavored Black. It’s creative! It’s a bit floral but more so on the end sip on to the aftertaste. It’s memorable!
I drank this one yesterday but was having problems with steepster. BUT…this was quite flavorful! It was Almond, Vanilla, Sweet, Cream, a little floral, a little sweet-woodsy, and a little nutty. I reminded me of another Almond Rooibos diddy I had back in the day but better! This is a winner for a flavored Rooibos!
I like this Ceylon. It’s so rich and even a little malty, quite similar to what I’d expect from an Assam, only without the harsher tones of the Assam. Very smooth and quite pleasant, this would make a superb breakfast tea (even if you have your breakfast at 9:30 pm!)
Wow, this is really good! I normally don’t care for the natural flavors of rooibos, but in this case, the natural nutty/woody tones of the rooibos work in this tisane’s favor. That natural nutty flavor melds well with the almond notes, giving it a deep, nutty flavor.
Overall, the cup is sweet, nutty, and has a pleasant creaminess to it. Very enjoyable.
This is absolutely perfect. I wasn’t sure that I was going to actually brew anything else this evening, but, I decided that I really wanted to try this, and I’m glad I made that decision. This is REALLY very good. A perfect tisane for those who love lavender. The lavender is strong, but it isn’t too strong to the point of tasting soapy. Lovely citrus-y notes to this as well as hints of mango and rose. These flavors complement the lavender so nicely.
Good night everyone!
LOVE! This is the second tea from Kally that I’ve tried, and I love it! I’m really loving this company.
This is a beautiful twist on the classic Earl Grey. The bergamot is subtle, and mingles well with the hint of apple and caramel in this blend. The floral tones stand out at the start, but subside as I continue to sip, with the caramel and apple tones becoming more apparent as I make my way toward the bottom of the cup… sigh this cup disappeared way too fast!
This one goes on my shopping list, because I need MORE!
I am just finishing up a cup of this tea now. It is my first tea of the day (it is 5:30 pm!) because we had a bunch of errands to run, and I felt myself NEEDING tea about midway through those errands. I kept thinking of this tea and told myself that my patience would be rewarded by tasting a new tea.
And it definitely was rewarded. I really like this. It has a fresh baked cookie kind of taste to it. I find that the black tea base is a bit lighter than I would have expected – I thought that more Assam would have given it a stronger sense of that rich, bake-y kind of taste, but I think that the lighter base allows for the flavors of the nuts, honey, coconut and chrysanthemum to come through. I like the way the chrysanthemum highlights the honey flavor especially.
I like this tea quite a bit, and it makes me look forward to the other teas I have to try from them.
This one makes me think all sorts of things! There will be some good nostalgia stories associated with this one – at least for me – so be sure to keep an eye out for the extended review over at Sororitea Sisters :)
In the meantime…this is a neat one! The Blackberry and Lime shine thru more than the other flavors but when you all put it together it’s a winner!
How’s that for a teaser?
Caramel is the primary flavor here and it’s pretty awesome! Sweet, sugary, creamy, YUM!
The toasted rice is a nice addition. I like the pairing with the green tea and rooibos. The cocoa is a bit mellower than some of these other tastes but still present and accounted for. I tried a 2nd infusion and could pick up on the marigold flowers and less with the cocoa. Overall I really like this and it’s a marvelous offering! I’m eager to try others from Kally! I have to point out I really LOVE their website, too! Great design!
Yum this one sounds like it would be an awesome iced tea!
