[Backlog] – I picked up a box of this tea because I had heard good things. It smells like Christmas right out of the box and seemed so promising! I noticed that it gave up its flavor and color quite fast. The cup was incredibly overwhelming with spice and sweetness. It’s the kind of syrupy sweetness that coats the tongue. I simply couldn’t get past a few sips. My brothers really enjoy this tea, though, so I happily gave them the rest of the box. I can see why this tea is a hit with some, but it’s just too strong for me!
The aroma of this tea is very strongly cinnamon which, if you enjoy that smell is a good thing. Sadly I do not detect any of the other spices or ingredient listed (sad, since I think a nice hint of orange as promised would have been great)
The flavor is also primarily cinnamon and I can maybe just barely taste the rooibus. I love cinnamon but I am sad that you cannot taste anything else in the blend. The aftertaste is slightly bitter which I assume is from the Chicory.
Overall I was not very impressed by this tea but I did still enjoy it.
This my favorite before bed decaf infusion. I completely over brew it living the tea bag in until I am done with the entire cup. Really like the hot cinnamon flavors that come out of the over brewing. Haven’t been as as happy with it since Tatami bought it and played with the formula but can’t find substitute (Harness Hot Cinnamon comes closest) if anyone else knows of a good cinnamon or similar tea please email me.
Meh. It’s a black w/ natural flavors. I needed caffeine this a.m. and wanted one that I could go light on the sugar (1/2 packet sugar in the raw) and no milk, so this fit the bill.
Note to self: don’t make a cup of tea and drink it right after brushing/flossing/Listerining! The minty aftertaste really takes a while to go away…
From what my confused tastebuds can tell due to the above, it’s ok but nothing special. Smooth, but the tropical/peach flavors are nondescript. Would probably be better iced, as they advise. Maybe the hint of flavors would be more noticeable that way.
Preparation
“All my possessions for a moment of time.” — Elizabeth I
That was the quote on my teabag tag, and that’s how I feel today. Added 1 pc brown rock sugar and a splash of 2% milk. There’s definitely more spice than chocolate in this. Meh.
Preparation
I got this to try from a person. This i’s a teabag and It’s chai without pepper thankfully and some cocoa nibs. I did not steep this long because I can not handle spicyness that well. This smells chai like with abit of cocoa. And this tastes like I’t to. This tea I’s decent to me.
