This is an exquisite Sencha, a lot of beautiful flavor to it. It has a light brothy-esque quality to it, not as heavy as some of the brothy teas I’ve tried, but, it has a savory tone to it that lends a brothy-like quality to it. A strong vegetative scent leads to a strong vegetative taste, but, I think that the sweetness of the tea balances out the grassy tones very nicely, making it neither too sweet nor too savory… it is just right.
Delightful.
The dry loose leaf aroma is AMAZING! It’s tremendously savory…vegetal, I want to eat it.
The flavor is beautifully-done! I’m in LOVE.
The taste is milder than the aroma but equally as intriguing. It’s sweet slightly vegetal. Reminds me of steamed green veggies…not quite broccoli…but not quite peas or beans either…somewhere in the middle of all 3.
This is remarkable! Very memorable! I LOVE IT!
A strong green tea! A nice Grassy-green with a bit of sweeter-grass towards the end of the sip! Smells like grass & Veggies! Tastes more grassier than vegetal tho. It finishes smoother than I thought and I like that! Everything from dry loose leaf to post infusion color to aroma and taste SCREAM vibrant and brilliantly intense GREEN! Wonderful!
I decided to brew up another pot of this tea so that I can review it.
What a wonderful Sencha it is. It is noted as an “everyday” Sencha, and I can say that I’d be happy to drink this every day. It has such a wonderful flavor. Buttery sweet. No bitterness. Lovely.
This tea has a STRONG aroma. I think it smells of dried smoked meat, like a beef-jerky (I mean this in a good way). The tea itself doesn’t taste anything like its aroma, in fact, it tastes like a nice roasted sencha. One waft of this tea before actually tasting it totally changes the experience of a regular sencha. I thought it was great and I would surely drink it again.
