The dry tea has prominent and distinctive smell. The only thing I can think of to compare the smell to is licorice allsorts candy. It has been many years since I have eaten licorice allsorts but if I remember correctly it smells like the soft licorice allsorts with the tiny blue or pink colored balls stuck to it.
When I made the tea the smell was not as prominent as when it was dry but I found the taste to be quite pleasant.
Flavors: Fennel
Preparation
I enjoy some fruit teas but a lot of fruit teas are too tart and I have been suspicious that it was rosehips and or hibiscus that are making the fruit teas so tart. This tea only has 2 ingredients (rosehips & hibiscus) so I actually bought this tea as an experiment and if this was way too tart then I would try and avoid the fruit teas with these ingredients too close to the top of the ingredient list.
First of all when I opened the box they teas are not individually wrapped so I smelled the whole box of tea bags and I could not smell much of anything. That was a bit disappointing because every other tea I have ever had has quite a bit of smell (usually a good smell).
I made the tea with only 70 C water for only 2 minutes because I thought it might get too tart if I used boiling water or steeped it for too long. This tea is intensely red! by the 2 minute mark it was so red it looked almost like a cup of blood. I was not even able to see the spoon when it was more than 1 inch into the tea.
It tasted quite fruity and a little bit tart but not bad at all. I quite enjoyed this tea.

This is the real thing, the real fennel tea. this is what it is supposed to taste like. 3-crown does an amazing job with this tea. fennel is good for digestion and soothing sore throats. It just relaxes you in general. Personally, I’m a huge fan of fennel, so this tea is perfect for me. So I would only recommend this tea for people who know that they like fennel. And if you don’t know, well why no time like the present to give this tea a try ;)
