drank Yu Lu Yan Cha Black by Verdant Tea
676 tasting notes

Still a favorite of mine. I never under leaf, which I suspect is why some people have not appreciated this tea as much as they could have. What’s the point of buying great tea only to be so frugal with the leaves that the tea tastes bleh!
My friend (Mr. Fox) and I drink Yu Lu Yan Cha brewed in a gaiwan (1 1/2 TB at least) and 30 second steep multiple times. We use a little raw sugar to our cups sometimes after a curry or stir fry dinner which creates the best dessert tea.
The teas that I always have on hand are Laoshan Black, Yu Lu Yan Cha Black, Fregrant Keemun and Shu Puer. (I have tons more but these 4 are my basic staple tea’s, the rest are for teaching others about tea or for variety when I’m in the mood for an oolong or green tea.)

Hey girl! Where have you been?

Lala

Bonnie, where have you been?!?

Nice to see a tasting note from you after so long! Thanks for the reminder that it’s important not to be too frugal with a tea so it’s ruined. :D

Kaylee

Welcome back! We were worried! I hope you’re well. Happy to see you online again!

heya! good to see you’re still drinking Verdant.

Bonnie

I drink tea from only 4 sources primarily. Verdant, Happy Luckys Tea House (my local tea shop all natural and fresh! Their tea club brings in unique and expensive tea twice a year for regular clients like me and they throw a party.), Whispering Pines (live creativity), and I like Teavivre’s fine fragrant Keemun. Simple.
I can make my own flavored tea if I want to (I know how to make earl grey the way Verdant used to…1 item, 3 steps.)
So, I’ve just been introducing people to tea in person and hanging out at the tea house a few times a week.

I pray you’re well. Lent is fast upon us! (ha ha)

Bonnie

I usually go to the woman’s Monastery in Arizona the week before Lent begins (Fr Evan always goes with us) but this year I’m sending my 22 year old granddaughter Schey. My oldest grandkids have gone and love it. We have several trips each year but this is my favorite, the high desert in the middle of Winter (Colorado Winter).
I’m still living in a 34 ft trailer, but this Spring probably will have to find another inexpensive way to live. Son in law and daughter…selling the farm.
