16 Tasting Notes
Yumm. My allergies have been next to death lately so many days I wake up with a sore throat and I always have a cup of tea. This was my choice today. I like it because I can actually taste the tea, even though it’s a chocolaty tea (which I’ve been loving lately) but its a very tasty treat. I haven tried it with milk or creamer but I’m sure it will still be delicious
I made this about 3 minutes before I had to run out the door so I didnt get a chance to try it until I was at work. To be honest I wasnt expecting much from it since I read quite a few terrible reviews. I ordered 8 ounces since it was so cheap and figured if I hated it I could just give it to someone who did like it. That will not be happening. I really like this tea a lot. Its a little tart but still earthy flavored and its definitely a nice change. I’ll be trying this iced once this terribly cold weather breaks.
I’m currently drinking the homemade version of this, seeing as I refuse to spend 26 dollars on 5 dollars worth of ingredients. Four ingredients to be exact. I keep sipping on this and it is a bizarre experience, possibly because this is the first tea with a high content of mint that I’ve tried. Its kind of herb-y when its in the mouth, but once you swallow then the sweetness really kicks it and your mouth gets a cooling sensation. Mmmmmm, so glad I ran into the recipe for this. Its yummy and very calming and soothing. Maybe I should add some chamomile or lavender and see what that turns out like. But for now this is delicious.
Preparation
I love this tea. I purchased it on sale and thought what the heck, I’ll give it a try. So glad I did. I’ll probably order a few more pouches before the sale is over though. For me its a good balance of everything I love in a tea. I bit of fruitiness, a little refreshing mint, and of course an actual tea flavor. Next stop it to try it with the sweet fruit garden which I’ve heard is awesome
Preparation
Ordered this on a whim because I had in my mind that perfect evening of quiet bliss, just enjoying my perfect cup of tea. I will admit that the scent of the tea made me a little wary about actually drinking it because it is a very fragrant tea and is not fruity like many that I like. Anyhow, after two days of calling off work sick I decided to make this tea to lull me to sleep. I have to say I like it much more than I thought I would. The strong lavender scent is mostly dissipated after steeping but can still be tasted. Its a light tasting tea but also tastes strong at the same time (I’m thinking a second steep will prove to be better for me). I can’t say that it is making me sleepy (could be the medicine) but I’ll try it again once I’m better and comment on that.
Overall it is a nice tea, but not something I would drink all day or even on a daily basis. More one of those “me time” teas.
