drank Irish Afternoon by Bewley's
3403 tasting notes

This tea was purchased in Dublin by my daughter a day before she left Ireland. I had tried the Clipper Gold and it was quite strong, so I was a little afraid of this one at first. I needn’t have been! It behaved quite well, and is a lovely cup of tea. I drank it first without milk or sugar, and it was very smooth and flavorful, a nice accompaniment to our afternoon Pim’s. The second cup had the addition of milk, which smoothed it even more, and then sugar, which it also handled well. Not what I would consider to be a gourmet tea, but a lovely cup just the same. Only steeped it for 2 minutes, because it is CTC.

I am a music teacher, tutor, and former homeschool mom (25 years!) who started drinking loose leaf tea about fifteen years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens and oolongs.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
