433 Tasting Notes
Ugh, so dull. I have to start trying this with something else… sweetener, milk, paired with another tea… it just doesn’t do anything for me.
Preparation
For some reason this drink was less sweet today (yay!), so it was much tastier. I was pleasantly surprised by the nutritional content after I looked it up this morning as well… not as bad as I’d thought. I think I like the Pomegranate Oolong a little better than this latte overall, but I try to switch it up every so often!
Slowly making my way through the last few bags of this blend… I wasn’t able to find it again in stores (I had a futile hope that it might reappear for the holidays), so I assume when it’s gone it’s gone! I drink it sparingly but there are only about 5 bags left! It’s sad that Celestial Seasonings has a blend that I like enough to repurchase (rare for me—I generally don’t love their teas), and it won’t be around for me to do so.
Preparation
Dug this out of the back of my cabinet (it’s very old—I should likely throw it out but I figured I’d have some and see if it still tasted okay, and it does)… I remember really not liking this the first time I tried it, but it’s okay today. Not anything I would re-purchase. I would have thought I’d absolutely love this (coconut + chai… two of my favourite things in the whole world), but I just don’t love the flavours together in this blend. I don’t ever add milk or sugar to my teas, but I’ll try to remember to add them sometime in the future since most other reviewers seem to think that’s the best way to drink this.
This is surprisingly good for a powdered/instant mix! I am always pleasantly surprised when I have some. Too bad it’s not a little bit lower-calorie, but don’t I always say that when it comes to chai?!
This makes me think of my best friend! I’ve only had it once, and it was a gift from her. The best instant chai w/ dairy I’ve had. Pacific is a close second which is good since I live nowhere near a TJ’s. Doesn’t hold a candle to Tipu’s (which does not contain dairy) though.
My sister (who sent it to me, since we don’t have TJs in Colorado) told me last night that they changed this blend and it’s not as good now! I’m taking my time finishing what I have, but now I’ll REALLY enjoy each cup knowing that it won’t be as good when I get a replacement canister!
I generally steer clear of these instant blends, because they’re way too tempting to have around the house and I don’t need the extra calories, so I don’t have many other powdered kinds to compare it to. The last one I had before this one was finished off many years ago!
I have this in my camping box. No kidding! I figure that this tea could make any funky water drinkable.
