433 Tasting Notes
I certainly don’t drink this for the taste, so I don’t have much to say about that (other than it’s good enough for the purpose it serves)! I do wish the extra caffeine would do more for me in general but it’s still better than a regular cup of tea. If only I could wake up today…!
I live for Fridays when I can have my weekly chai! I wish they’d invent a no-calorie version so I could have it every day. I tried this with the pumpkin spice flavour once and was not a fan but I’m curious about how some of the other flavours would work with it!
Order it w/ chai bags instead of concentrate then the only calories, fat, and sugar will be from the milk. And milk is healthy! Not to mention it’ll be MUCH better.
I put caramel brulee, mocha, caramel, and gingerbread in it. Try each one alone then mix and match:)
Hmm, I never thought of just asking for bags instead of concentrate—does it still have the same amount of spiciness that way? Interesting, thanks!
@Alannah, yep. More so I think. I order 2 bags in a tall. I don’t bother w/ any other sizes because the ratios of flavor would be off. I also order mine sans water.
Every time I see this tea in my cabinet, I have to remind myself that it doesn’t taste like it smells (or sounds) and that I won’t mind drinking it. I still don’t get excited over this blend, but it’s a decent tea (and mild, as someone else also noted). I just can’t get over the association my brain has with the smell because it’s convinced it’s an herbal blend with that strong rose/strawberry scent.
Drank this today because I didn’t want any caffeine. I am never impressed with the taste of it (there isn’t really any taste), but the smell is awesome. I usually drink this when I am sick or can’t have any caffeine, but it takes me forever to get through a whole box.
Hmm, not sure how I feel about this one. I can’t help but be disappointed in it but it’s not awful. I’ll give it another try and mess with the brewing time (I was busy so I couldn’t pay close attention) and see how that goes. Pretty average at this point, though.
