I’ve been organizing my tea stash for most of the morning and early afternoon. My new goal is to drink each tea I have at least once a month. I stole the idea from Terri because it’s brilliant and will (hopefully) keep me out of my tea rut. After finally getting everything the way I want it I decided to celebrate with a cup of Earl Grey.

This EG is good, but it’s different. There is a strong lemon flavor, and the bergamot is fairly weak. The vanilla is present in the form of a creaminess to the tea, so the result is a tea that taste like lemon pudding. While this was not what I was expecting I am really enjoying my cup. Good lemon teas are hard to find, and this one is very nice. Next time I’m going to add a bit of milk to my cup. I’m thinking that will make this even better. Also, iced! Oooh, I’m going to have fun with this tea.

Thanks Dinosara for introducing me to this one!

I’ve been trying to drink my way through every tea in my cupboard once (before repeating) but it’s taken me like 4 months! Too many teas, I guess. :)

Veronica

Eek! Four months of no repeat tea drinking… that is impressive. :)

I’m not putting a lot of pressure on myself. I know I’ll drink most of my basic blacks more than once per month because I love them too much and I honestly don’t have a whole lot of them. My two big goals are to drink down all of the little one serving samples I have tucked away in tea boxes and to stop drinking the same teas over and over while the rest of my stash languishes.

Dinosara

Well, I haven’t totally done that, as there are a couple I have drunk more than once. :) But by and large it has been no repeats. It’s taken me that long partly because I’ve taken trips and such with not really any tea drinking. Luckily I have a lot of favorites in my stash because it keeps me happy!

Sil

i’m afraid of how long that would take me…

Veronica

Sil – Maybe you should think in terms of years instead of months. ;)
