661 Tasting Notes
2nd (or could be 3rd) time having this tea. It tastes better than on my first review. I’m surprised I didn’t mention the buttery notes in it. It’s a very mellow buttery green tea. I think it’s too special to have everyday and I’m bumping up my rating from last time because I’m loving this tea even more.
Flavors: Butter, Grass
Preparation
I’ve had this tea in my cupboard for awhile. It’s a wonderful comfort tea and a good blend of gunpowder with peppermint and spearmint. A mid-eastern restaurant nearby brews up what they call a mint tea. I just love it and order it whenever I go in the restaurant. This tea is the closest thing to that. The peppermint is punchy and the green tea is a strong .

I think I missed sampling this one from Miss B’s package so pulled it out today. Kept the steep time shorter than average since I don’t like my black teas too strong. It’s got a lovely peach flavor. The black tea is not too strong either and I’m not picking up the bitter edge I sometimes get with black teas. Thanks MissB for putting this one in.
Preparation
Well, I had to run out and buy this tea after seeing the email from David’s Tea announcing this tea was in for April. What can I say that’s different than all the great reviews here? It’s a coconutty buttery oolong delight. The oolong base is not the best oolong I’ve have but it’s still a good one. Not picking up the lemongrass but it’s in there somewhere.
Flavors: Butter, Coconut
Preparation
I’ve had this tea in my cupboard for awhile but didn’t add it to my cupboard here. I don’t have it that often and had a cup last night. It is very delicious. A cream lemon rooibos. Yes, the tin is almost empty but I have enjoyed every cup. Almost want to run out and get more but my cupboard is pretty full…..
Flavors: Lemon Zest
Preparation
I still have a few samples from Miss B’s mystery package I haven’t yet tried, this being one of them. I used 1 tsp for my tea and it seems a bit weak. I noticed others here have been putting a lot more in so I may try that next time. I am picking up the flavor but it doesn’t quite taste like pistachios to me. I’m getting the grassy flavor from the tea and the flavor over that that’s supposed to be pistachio…. I don’t know. It’s not a bad cup but I couldn’t really decide from this one cup if I like this tea or not so no rating.
Got to use my Teavana App for steeping herbal teas this time. It was a nice lively salsa to dance to while this tea was steeping – a good 6 minutes of dancing.
This tea is pretty much the same tea as David’s Forever Nuts. I can’t taste much difference. It’s got that beetroot coloring with an apple/almond flavor to it. Early in the day to be having non-caffeine one but I’ve had my dose of caffeine for the morning. I’ll have to try this along side of Forever Nuts to see if there’s a difference. I don’t think there is.
Preparation
Today is an at home day so I started my morning with a cup of this lovely Strawberry Oolong from Tealux. Yes, I’ve reviewed it before. I reduced my rating just a bit (was 100) only because I’ve had a few oolongs since then and even though this one is great, the strawberry notes were not strong enough. Cooled down , I can taste the strawberry notes more but I don’t like cold tea. I like using my Teavana App as a timer for the tea. It’s so cool the music it plays while the tea is steeping. This morning I was doing some qi-gong while my tea was steeping. I could wake up like this every morning. So Tealux when are you getting an App? I am so in love with Tealux teas. It will take me forever to try them all.
Flavors: Butter
Preparation
I thought I reviewed this tea but couldn’t find my tea tasting note. I had to try it after having Tealux’s Tenkaichi Sencha. This one is a good sencha. Very grassy, smooth. I have to agree with the reviews here. It’s a good economical everyday sencha. The one from Tealux is a better sencha with it’s nutty buttery notes but this one is still a good cup.
