At two years old, this is not the freshest tea anymore, but not stale either. It smells of tomato vine and sawdust predominately. The taste is malty and bitter with notes of almonds, bread crust and a spicy finish. The aftertaste is a little cooling and reminds me of pine and the Ruby 18 cultivar. The tea has a very smooth texture and gives a strong, heady buzz.

Flavors: Almond, Bitter, Bread, Malt, Pine, Plant Stems, Sawdust, Smooth, Spicy

I had been drinking Japanese green tea for a while before discovering the world of tea in 2017. I rarely drink blends and generally avoid artificially scented teas. Other than that I try to keep it varied.
