772 Tasting Notes
Just had this for a morning pick-me-up and it seems to have done the trick. The chocolate flavour is pretty weak but the matcha itself is still okay so it’s drinkable. Maybe next time I will just add more of it.
AND, I just completely updated my steepster cupboard to be accurate. I feel so productive :p Except Second Breakfast by Whispering Pines isn’t on there yet because the page is having one of their mobile caching issues and won’t let me add it. Ah well, for later.
Old but still decent. It was flavoured ‘robust’ so that’s probably why I can still taste the cherry despite it’s age. It spent most of it’s life in a sealed package in the freezer, but I’m trying to drink up my matcha, even if it doesn’t taste flavoured anymore. Thankfully this one does. I think I made the initial water a bit hot so it’s a teensy bit sharp tasting but otherwise good.
Made as a latte. Hopefully I’ll wake up now.
Holy Raspberry! Even with how old this tea is, it went unopened until now. The smell is still strong with the dry leaf and the taste is divine! I love me a raspberry tea and this one is pretty great.
Just took inventory on my tea cupboard so I’ll be revamping that soon. I want a matcha latte now but I have no milk that isn’t chocolate flavoured…
Can you tell I’m trying to drink down my old Butiki teas? I wanted something I know I like so out came the Raspberry Truffle. The raspberry scent in the dry leaf is still pretty strong. If nothing else, I store my old teas well, even if it takes me forever to drink them. I’d really like to get to a place where I feel comfortable buying new tea again.
Anyway, this tea was a reward for cleaning the shower drain. Tasty and nice. I enjoyed this pot.
I wasn’t really enjoying this and I wasn’t sure why but now that I see that it’s an oolong, it all makes sense. Oolongs are not something I’ve ever managed to develop a taste for. Also the cinnamon is kind of strong for me in this brew. Perhaps I should pass it along.
I am definitely tasting espresso when I drink this. It took a long while for me to pin down the flavour other than ‘dark but not chocolate’. Coffee, that’s what it was. I’m not a fan of coffee, generally, that is why I drink tea instead, but this is…decent. Definitely not my favourite and it’s old besides so probably it’s good that I can never get it again. Still have a couple of pots worth in my sample so I’ll get to try again.
Flavors: Coffee
This tea has aged ridiculously well, considering how old it is. The cocoa and goji berries look so good in the dry leaf and the flavour comes through really well, especially with a bit of sweetener added. This just tastes so good, even with the emerging cold I have going.
