224 Tasting Notes
Not bad. It’s very spice chai-y and I get the apple coming through. I tried it with both brown sugar and my regular Truvia. I liked it better with the brown sugar ‘cause it seemed to bring out the apple a little better.
I’m coming to the realization that I’m not really a chai person ‘cause every chai blend I try, I don’t really like. I don’t think I’ll ever drink this again but it wasn’t bad to try. Lol.
Preparation
Nice solid tasting black tea is the best I can think of right now. Lol. I’m not really picking up anything special here, but it might just be that my palate isn’t really that refined yet. Though I do get a bit of astringency at the end.
Followed company’s instruction for second steeping. Not much different from the first aside from it tasting a bit weaker. Ah well. But this is definitely one I’ll likely keep around.
Preparation
I’ll definitely give that a try. I certainly have enough left to keep trying until something tastes different. Lol! Thanks.
Not bad, but overall I’m not impressed. Probly won’t buy more though the tin it came in is gorgeous. Lol.
Smelled nice in the tin, all toasty and whatnot. Brewed I get that toasty/nuttiness along with a slight bitter taste from the black tea. Much better with some sugar added, but just a bit. Didn’t get any vanilla, or else it was covered by the hazelnut. Might try with milk or cream next time and see what happens.
It’s pretty rubbish when it gets cold though, not that I recommend making it any other way than hot, but my cup had gone cold and I figured I’d give it a sip. Ugh. Lol.
Preparation
So I got this in a try-me sample pack from Della Terra a month or so ago. I had wanted to try Eight Candles, but it was out of stock, so I got this instead. After drinking oolongs the past few days, I wanted something different so I picked this out of the rather embarrassingly large stack of teas I have yet to try. Lol.
Glad that I did. It’s pretty good. I definitely like this better than s’mores. All I tasted in s’mores was the marshmallow. In this tea I get just enough marshmallow that I know it’s there, but I can still taste the caramel. Unfortunately I didn’t taste any chocolate, but maybe I didn’t steep it enough? I have enough for another pot or two so maybe I’ll try steeping a bit longer next time.
All in all, I’d reorder this one.
Preparation
Had a sharp clove-y smell out of the bag and I was afraid it would brew as strong as it tasted. While I definitely tasted the chai spices, it isn’t as strong as it smelled and not strong as other blends I’ve tried, which I’m glad of. Don’t really get the chocolate much, though I’m wondering if that’s because I made this in a paper filter and the chips couldn’t properly melt into the tea. Definitely will make this next time in just the mesh to see. It’s alright plain, but I added some cream and brown sugar and it was excellent. Will definitely keep this around for when I want something a little different
Preparation
I didn’t really care for this one. Had a very strong marzipan-y smell out of the bag and it brewed up the same. Almond was overpowering to me and I couldn’t smell or taste much else.
Preparation
Fruity and interesting, especially with a little sugar. Has an mild wine-y smell in the bag that carries over when brewed. Might be the current but never having had the current tea alone, I couldn’t be sure. The tangerine gets lost between the other two teas and the peach isn’t as strong as I’d have liked, but then, I can never really have too much peach in a tea.
