drank Eggnog & Pralines by Butiki Teas

This is my first taste of Butiki Tea, as my Black Friday order just shipped yesterday.

Plain: First taste that hit me was actually the creaminess, followed by spice and nuts, then the green that lingers. It’s fairly light on the eggnog flavor, but given the amount of sheer over the top flavored teas I’ve been trying lately, that isn’t a bad thing. It’s very light and refreshing, tastes… I dunno, just clean somehow, thanks to the green, but still full of flavor. Alright Butiki, I think I’m going to love you.

Got this one by mistake, as they send it instead of the French Kiss I ordered Oh well. I’ve been searching for a new caffeine free Lavender tea, and while I’m not sure this will be “the one” I like it. The lavender is fragrant, without being overbearing. I can definitely taste the lemon, and they mingle well in the after taste, I do wish there was a little less lemon flavor overall though

So, despite the obvious lack of actual oolong in this one (pretty common for Teavana?) I really like this one. At 3 minutes steeping, it’s a fairly strong cup. The first taste is of juicy oranges, then comes a fair amount of cinnamon and the tingling of cloves on the front of the tongue. The rest of the spices just seem to enhance everything else! Yum.
