I am not very keen on the overall scent of this tisane once it has been infused- it reminds me of the scent of an empty coffee filter. I do like the smell of the cloves peeking out ever so slightly, but it would be nice if they were more prevalent. There seems to be a lot of ingredients in this one. I have never enjoyed white chocolate and the one used in this combination contains an artificial colour which, to me, is not necessary. It is possible that this would affect the flavour along with some of the other white chocolate ingredients: partially hydrogenated palm kernel oil, soy lecithin and monoglycerides. The resulting flavour is that of a diluted coffee.
This tisane is nice with the addition of 2% cow’s milk. I like that it takes on a creamy texture and looses the dilute flavour. The clove taste seems to be brought out a bit more and mixes nicely with the milk flavour.
