Drank a very peculiar sample today… http://www.chawangshop.com/index.php/1998-hunan-dongting-brand-9101-qing-zhuan-sample-50g.html
This tasted almost exactly like a weakly brewed bancha that I bought from Yunomi that Furyu made. I suppose the reason that is would be the processing and the time it has has to sit around and be lazy before someone decided to stab the heck out of it so it could have a spa and then thrown into the trash, down a disposable sink, or outside; maybe even ate… ewwww
This was a pretty nice tea. I’d suggest it for those who like that old tea taste and heicha dryness. Steeps over and over quite well. It’s something you drink and understand, not much to describe as I think these older teas taste much much different to each person and are defined better as an experience rather then particular tasting notes of ‘flavors’ which are really just comparing one taste to another of things to describe because we need a frame of reference… stuff stuff stuff.
