299 Tasting Notes
Need caffeine that also feels like a sugar rush this morning since I’m up early for some reason and I have to get to work work work on the python course I’m taking. I love this tea a lot. It’s always a good eeeease into the day tea.
In other newsss, I bought a nice jug yesterday with the fruit/tea infusers & the ice thinger for my cold brewing. I have a mango black tea in there (Murchies and one of my least faves brewed hot, but it’s reaally nice cold. There’s a few in my collection I can’t wait to try cold. Now that I don’t have to try to pour from an old pickle jar :P or use a saucer as a lid to my french press. JUGS. SO HANDY!)
Basically anything I chose tonight was going to be not Cantaloupe Cream enough so I chose this nutty tea that I was kinda shrug about trying. But I quite liked it. A lot better than Forever Nuts and the Della Terra Honey Nut Crunch (?)because the apple is not as pronounced and it’s not oversweet (I have a Almond Marzipan rooibos that I like because it’s nuttish, but it’s also sweet so I’m rarely in the mood for it)… I like the foggy look of it, too. And Brazil nuts! Anyway, not a tea that I need in my cupboard, but a good one to try – thanks cavocorax! Gonna try for a long resteep.
eta – resteep was GREAT until I forgot it, wandering off
Preparation
I love how optimistic you are with your ratings. 82 is good bu I’m not gonna buy it for you, while 82 for me means I MUST have 1 oz at all times (in an ideal world where I have lots of monies for tea)
Those little Amoda boxes I send my samples in are pretty cute eh? If you pack them thin enough they’re just $2 to ship!
Yes! I sent that one back to you, but K mailed it so idk what the shipping turned out to be. My face went :-O when I saw it had only cost you 2$!!!
LOLOLOL I think ~80 is my “that’s good tea for drinking!” and anything under I’ll only rarely want so rrrreally, my ratings are probably just more compressed? :P But dude, I’m rethinking cupboarding this tea because I had a bit cold this morning and it was just …mmm. BUT I just sipped and automatically poured the rest out (I always taste, just to see) on morning zombie mode and I was sorta standing there at the sink going noo, nooo come back all feebly sad zombie what happened nooo good taste come baaack.
Huh. Okay. So far my verdict is “WEIRD.”
Am I doing this wrong? It tastes/smells kinda… cereal-y. Like rice puffs and vinegar. boggled
Preparation
A.MA.ZING. Okay, I definitely must get some of this for myself. Thanks cavocorax, for once again being a horrible person ;P :P :P
Seriously, this is so good! So light and fresh and tasty and simple and YUM.
Preparation
Lots of raspberries in this! It was good, too. I am going to resteep it later and see how that goes ;)
I didn’t really get the sponge cake part?
At first I thought this was like the cinnamon challenge (you know, eat a tablespoon of cinnamon straight, go on, I dare you) and could not be done but.. it grows on you? I think that people who love cinnamon hearts (Lauren) should love this tea.
Preparation
The tea itself sorta has a weird artificial texture eh? It’s a weird one, but it does grow on you, thankfully or I’d never have made it through 4oz! (I think I dumped a lot on you though. Hahaha)
I think that might just be the nature of cinnamon? But I’m not a big fan of cinnamon, so, you know. You sent me a bunch!! But I like it, so it’s gonna be ok. I think K will end up liking this one, too. I’m curious to try it with milk & sugar, also… like a sweet treat? Have you tried that? Oh it’s got orange bits, I wonder if it’ll curdle….. :s
I’ve never tried it with milk or sugar – it seemed pretty sweet already. I’m happy you like it though! I do too, even though there’s something strange about it. It became my evening tea for a while there, but 4oz was just TOO much. 4oz of most teas seems like too much nowadays. I like variety… #spoiled
Three steeps! I’m i mpressed.
Oh yeah, I usually go three with this one I’m super lazy and it can take it. ;)
