299 Tasting Notes
Violently pretty! I like this tea – it’s not super tart & the strawberries are really out there. Not creamy at all, to me. I’d like to try their black/strawberry next time, I think. Had this one late last night and got side-tracked with the child.. it was lovely cool in the morning, too. If strawberries didn’t trigger K’s oral allergy syndrome, I’d cold brew this with a bit of honey. Nom nom nom.
(It’s funny, looking at my last reviews of this tea, that I used to consider it more tart than I do now.. I wonder if my tastes have changed? Or was I just exaggerating?)
Preparation
Tart eh? I immediately thought – it must have hibiscus! And it does! So you’re probably right about it being tart, but I think iciing it/drinking it cool tames the hibiscus.
I actually like iced hibiscus and will eat it, along with everything else, in a dry fruit blend. Clearly not a cool kid. :/
Had the last of this last night. It’s such a unique tea – pepper, which I love… kinda like Jessie’s tea, which I was fascinated with by the novelty of ~lavender but didn’t actually LIKE (but still kept drinking).. I like this one a bunch more, but it’s still “like” through a mirror of weird fascination. :D
Tea break! I’ve been trying to force myself to use CLEANING THINGS as a coping skill for my stress and anxiety rather than avoidance and misery… it’s going okay so far, but I’m only an hour in. (Which is totally time for a break!)
I haven’t had this tea in a long time, and it’s one of my faves.
Preparation
This is a little bit too lemon for me, but the raspberry is very nice! I kinda wish I’d cold-brewed it for Kelly, because this is basically his jam. Gonna resteep it later and see how that goes.
Preparation
Nothing too special about this tea but it’s sitting nice this morning.
I added ALL MY TEAS to my cupboard, even the two I can’t drink (Butiki one with cilantro that I’m sending to a friend, and S’mores, which she can’t have either) :-O so, 47 + 1 unidentifiable tea because I’m a mess. It’s destined for the cold-brew jug. :P
Preparation
Let me know if you want to get above 50 teas as I have a few I can send your way! Nummy ones like H&S Florence, Boston and Vanilla Comoro!
Hahha. I’m trying to embrace that I will be Ontario people! I’ve been chatting a lot more with Sil, Kittenna and NxtDoor. If you were on facebook (you fiend) you could be in our tea group.
I bought this because Ovation was closing and they were selling everything for like $1 an oz. I was hoping it’d be tasty but… meh.
When I lived in Vic I used to get EG from Murchies and then steep it with whatever fruit tea I had around (which was a blueberry rooibos sometimes or a grapefruit herbal) and they were pretty yum – so this tea is definitely a good thought, but it fell flat, yep.
That’s a good idea! I haven’t tried mixing anything around at all.
