Yum. This tea is still so good!
I rearranged my kitchen cupboards which necessitated rearranging my teas, and I found this one.
I still really like it. Why haven’t I drank it more? No clue. I would order from them again if… oh hey, they are now offering “15-cup” bags for about $10. It looks like they’re not doing those seasonal releases in tins only! Oh, I might be able to pick up some of my favourite herbals. I’ll have to see where I’m at with drinking up all my no caffeine teas before I work teas into my budget again…
Yum!
Standard steep with milk. I still really like this tea.
I’m drinking it with the Shutterbean earl grey chocolate cake. I haven’t made it for a couple years but it’s delicious as ever.
Still super sad that it looks like The Capilano is closed.
Having this one iced today, with a bit of honey. I still love this tea – it’s one of my favourites. Vegetal from the nettle, sour from the hibiscus and rosehip, citrus from the sumac and peels… just a really nice tea.
I think I prefer it hot, but I’m definitely not mad that I decided to ice it. It’s one herbal tea I can drink with abandon (no apples!).
I made this as an iced milky chai and it’s really good. The blend I have does contain sugar, and I don’t love it hot (too sweet), but cold it’s delicious!
I steeped 4 tsp for 3 min in 1 cup boiling water, and I used a tea bag – there are a lot of bits in this tea that are super finely ground, and I wanted to be sure that they wouldn’t end up in my final drink. Then I added 1 cup cold water and chilled it.
My drink was ice, 2/3 milk, 1/3 chai concentrate. It’s so good! I will be using up the rest of this bag making iced chai this summer. Yum.
More of this from Sil! I just checked and neither my last review nor Sil’s review has disappeared this time.
Maybe age has improved it or I’m back at “YAY TEA” as far as flavour profiles go… but I do like it. Malty yum. Little astringent. Perfect and sweet with a splash of milk.
I should note on here that I’m now a masters student. Yes. I’m doing a masters degree AND working full-time. So I have today off as a vacation day and I’m sitting here doing readings for class. It’s a perfect time to drink lots of tea.
If I could visit with family or friends life would be good… O.o
Preparation
Thanks! I mean, for this particular program it’s not as much of an accomplishment (it’s not a thesis-based program!), but it’s a lot of fun and I’m learning an awful lot. There are a lot of papers, though…
Yum! So good.
Fruity, malty, delicious.
Of course I’m having it with milk. And hot, even though it’s fairly warm out today.
So warm, in fact, I’m planning to take myself out on a picnic dinner! I made a couple things on my lunch break, and will need to mix up my limeade and fry up my marinating chicken before I head out. I’d do iced tea, but I don’t really have much in the way of fruity teas. I can no longer have apple, so my go-to selections are not good options.
Preparation
Made into an iced tea with honey. Not bad. Probably needed more leaves but I was using the reminder of my bag.
Would buy again. Possibly. In the future. When transit isn’t as much of a serious health risk.
Weirdly I can drag the bars on my Android but not on my iPad. Oh, Steepster.
Preparation
This one is labelled “Thailand – Mariage Freres” only I can’t find this tea on their website or on steepster.
It’s a super mega fine CTC black tea. Very strong. Would be so good with sweetened condensed milk. But I’m drinking it with vanilla sugar and regular milk.
Preparation
Hello,
hello.
Just popping in here because Sil sent me this sample ages and ages ago and I finally tried it.
It’s, uhh, dirt tea. The stuff people always say tastes like chocolate.
I only finished half the cup.
Thank you for sharing, Sil, but this one didn’t work for me!

Preparation
funnily enough..steepster did that thing it does and i have no rating or note for this one so who knows how i felt about it
I’ve finally moved away from my love, the espresso machine (said as I enjoy an iced latte), and am exploring more tea options again! Also since I’m working from home it’s easier for me to pop on here every once in a while for 5 min. :)
