Oh boy. This tea is something I love to smell, but don’t like to taste.
But I thought I’d try making a tea soda a la Roswell Strange, to see if that might change my mind. It hasn’t, although the tea soda is really really good. (Any tea frens want me to drop the rest of this in their box?)
1 heaping-ish tbsp leaves to (whoops) 1/2 cup of water. I added 8 tsp sugar to it. Used 1 tbsp syrup to one cup sparkling water and ice.
WOW. This is pretty amazing. I’m still not loving the floral part of the lemon-candy-almond blend, but wow. (Why am I not loving the floral part? Usually I like some floral in teas. This one just… doesn’t work for me for some reason. :( )
Highly recommend tea sodas. But maybe actually do 1-2 tbsp in 1/4 cup of water and 4-5 tsp sugar like Roswell does. :) It worked out for this tea because it’s soooo strong, but my way might not work for other teas.
(Now I have to do this with Tamarind Gui Fei, Caramel Apple Oolong, Lupicia’s Melon Oolong, Watermelon Xylophone… basically ALL THE TEAS.)
