557 Tasting Notes

Shared a pot of this tea with my boyfriend when he came over. I had mine with a little bit of milk and he had his plain. I really like making and sharing a pot of tea with him. It makes me feel good that we are sharing something that we both love. And it feels very social.

I finally finished my bottle of cold brewed peppermint tea with honey. I discovered that the next time I do this, I really need to put in at least 2-3 tea bags in my bottle. It came out very weak with one tea bag even though I steeped it overnight. It was a really interesting way to make iced tea and I can see myself doing this a lot when school comes. It will be easier than making it boiled and then waiting for it to cool down.
Preparation
I forgot how good tea tasted when you took the time to boil the water in a kettle instead of using a microwave. I actually made this tea in my little red teapot that I got at a fair this summer. I have no idea how long I steeped it, but I only used one bag for a two-cup pot.
My first cup I had with a little bit of milk. The second cup I had half plain and then half with a little bit of honey. Drinking out of actual teacups makes me feel fancy. I might have to pick a little teacup or two up for school. It would be nice for study breaks. Especially since most of my schoolwork will be sit down, read this, and comment on it.
I’m boosting the rating up a little bit because it does taste so much better with boiled water, but it is still unexciting.
Preparation
Nothing hits the spot like curling up with a fluffy fleece Tinkerbell blanket, a Hello Kitty pillow, your Kindle with the recent time-traveling romance on it, and a good cup of hot tea with a dollop of honey for your sweet tooth.
Preparation
I wanted a new box of tea and my boyfriend wanted me to have a box of mint tea for school, so I got a box of mint tea. I’m not sure if I steeped it long enough or not. It tasted a little weak and not minty enough for my liking. I’m going to try it again later and see if I can get it stronger.
I drank half of the cup and then forgot about it while I was eating. When I came back I dumped a good amount of honey in it. That tasted fantastic! I might have to try cold brewing a bottle overnight and then dump some honey in it for some iced tea tomorrow.
Preparation
For Stash I prefer their “Moroccan Mint” – it’s a punch in the face of mint flavour. It might be worth a try later?

16 oz, soy, and whipped cream
I have been wanting to try this, so I dragged my boyfriend with me to get one. At first, I thought that the green tea was really bitter. As I kept drinking it, the better the taste got and the more I liked it. It is really nice to have on a warm day and it was my very first taste of matcha. I wanted to try it in something before I decided to get a tin for myself. I am glad to say that it did not put me off of matcha and it makes me want to try it for myself even more now.
Even though I don’t really care for coffee, I would go to Starbucks again to get this. It was really tasty.
Dad keeps this tea in the house, so I decided to try it. I heated the water up in a smaller tea cup, so I think I got the water too hot. I also decided to add honey to it. Five drops of liquified honey.
This doesn’t really have a taste to it. It is really smooth though. Not what I was hoping for in this cup.
