I was surprised by the aroma of the dry leaf, I could barely smell the spice. But once brewed, the spices came forward … in both the fragrance and the flavor. The brewed tea smells yummy.
The white tea is a delicate tasting tea – no big surprise there! – and the spices are in keeping with that … they aren’t overpowering the flavor of the tea. It’s a really pleasant chai – much better than I expected it to be after smelling the dry leaf.
If you like a peppery chai … you should try this.
